Chapter Three

     ~Will~

Smoothing his neck tie, the new boss of the Cross family company sighed in frustration and raked a hand through his brown hair that didn't seem messy even a bit. He examined himself in the mirror before satisfaction crossed his face. He knew there was an important meeting coming up on Friday. A fellow worker had recommended a restaurant where the food was tasty.

Will never actually been there, but he knew how to acknowledge a fellow worker's suggestion. After a bit of discussion, the office decided to have their dinner meeting at the Brown family restaurant. He'd heard about it, but a man like him never actually thought of even eating there. Not when teenagers would be crowding around the place, eating with their lovers. A shiver went down his spine.

It brings back too much memories, he thought to himself. He thought being further away from couples in love would avoid him from breaking down and going through the pain all over again.

So why was he feeling so attracted to the girl who was forced away from him? Surely four years was enough for him to get over the girl. But no, she just wouldn't stay out of his mind.

Will shook his head, he didn't want to think about the girl anymore.

After all, things are different now. And it would break my Fleur's heart.

~Fleur~

"Will...Will..." I kept calling his name, but he was running so far from me. He turned back around, sent me a boyish smile and kept on running till he reached the finish line. The crowd went wild and I saw Lance smiling as he touched something shiny in his pocket. I ignored it, and kept running till I was by Will's side.

The same defeaing gun shot filled the air and I lost my balance as I fell to the ground. I saw Will's face staring down at me, tears were flowing freely down his cheeks. I wanted to tell him to stop crying and tell him I was alright, but my voice wasn't there. It was gone. In a second, it was like the scene faded and I was myself again, except that I was staring down at Will who was staring at another me who was shot.

Blood was gushing out of her wound and tears were flowing down her cheeks. Will grabbed onto her hand and squeezed it so hard that his hand was white. Soon, the other me's eyes started to close.

"Don't close your eyes! Don't leave him!" I wanted to shout at her, but she wouldn't stay awake. Soon her eyes closed and everything around her just went black and the same thing happened to me. It was like a land, with only me and the other me on it. She was still on the ground, pale and dying.

"I wish you were never shot." I spoke to her before the dream ended and I sat up from my own bed, screaming.

My bedroom door burst open and Liv rushed into the room followed by Max and Sileen. "Are you okay? We heard you scream!" Liv checked on me and used my blanket to wipe away the sweats forming on my forehead. I nodded quickly and hugged Frank, who rushed into the room hugging me first.

"Stop crying..." He whispered, I hadn't realize I was crying until he said so. I pulled away gently and used the back of my hand to wipe away the tears. Liv looked at me worried and told the others including Frank to wait outside for the moment.

Once they were gone, Liv spoke. "You dreamed about Will again?"

I didn't have the voice to speak so I just nodded.

"We'll talk about this later. Get some sleep and think positive. Remember Fleur, it's the past and you couldn't change it even if you could travel back." She said softly and smiled before getting out of my room.

Once the door clicked shut, I sighed and tried to go back to sleep.

"Guys, it's just my birthday, it's nothing special." I said as I walked into the kitchen. It was finally Friday and my birthday. Eventhough my friends showed up really early to my apartment, they should've known that I wouldn't wake up till late in the morning. It was a good thing Max's dad let me start work a little late thanks to the 'special day'.

"We know, but it's also the day you're born!" Max said as Sileen said, "I made cake!"

I smiled at my friends and nodded.

After a great cake as breakfast, Sileen went to Starbucks to work and Max and I went to the Brown family restaurant to work. Max's dad called the both of us to the restaurant right when I was washing dishes to tell us that there would be special guests going over. Special guests as in really important people who were millionaires or even celebrities.

A millionaire once visited the Brown family restaurant and left a huge tip and a compliment. It made Max's dad happy for weeks.

"I wonder who it would be." I told Liv as the both of us walked to the restaurant. Max had to rush early to the restaurant to cook since the usual cook decided that particular day to get sick. I rolled my eyes at the thought.

      "I bet it's someone rich."

     "Someone cute?"

"Yeah." Liv agreed and grinned. As we entered the restaurant, I froze on my spot.

     Will was the special guest.
