Violet's POV
.
.
I was in an abandoned warehouse and no one else was there. It was completely empty and quite dark as well. I was trying to find my way out for so long but couldn't. I wasn't scared of dark. I was scared that someone might have followed me here and that he might kill me.
Suddenly I saw a bright light coming from afar, but I failed to reach it when I tried. I didn't stopped trying. Suddenly I saw Brad in that light and he motioned for me to come to him. I went to him without any problem and he took my hand, dragging me somewhere.
All of a sudden, a continuous beeping sound was heard and everything started fading. The first thing to fade was Brad and then the warehouse. The darkness and beeping sound stayed the same.
I frowned as I tried to understand what was going on. About a minute later, I reluctantly opened my eyes and realized that it was a dream. I squinted at my alarm clock and saw that it was 6:00 am. Argh, school! I grunted.
A few minutes later, I got up from my bed and went to the bathroom to complete my morning routine. After shower and blow-drying my hair, I quickly put on my outfit for today. It consisted of a purple lace top, dark jeans, sandals and a matching purple bracelet. I put on some lip balm and didn't bothered tying my hair.
Picking up my bag and iPhone, I went downstairs to have a quick breakfast. Mom was in the kitchen. I went to sit on a barstool, "Morning, mom."
She turned to me, "Good morning, baby girl. Breakfast is almost ready."
I nodded, "Yeah, and where is dad?"
"Upstairs, getting ready. Scrambled eggs?" She asked, putting the eggs on the plates.
"Yeah," I said, taking the plate from her hand.
Right that moment, dad came in, "Good morning, you two!"
"Morning, dad!"
"Good morning, honey."
Mom and I said at the same time. He chuckled at our response and sat down to eat his own breakfast. I continued eating my scrambled eggs with a side of bacon. Abruptly, dad said, "Violet, do you want me to drop you off at school?"
Having finished my breakfast, I poured myself some coffee, "Yes, please."
He nodded, "OK then."
Dad's office hours started at eight in the morning but he had to leave at 7:10 am, the time I usually left for school, to get there on time. My school was nearby at ten to fifteen minutes walk, but his office was at a drive of half an hour when the roads weren't too busy. Mostly, he had to face the New York traffic as well.
I finished drinking my coffee just as dad completed his breakfast. Then I kissed mom on the cheek and went out. Getting in the car, we were off to school.
The ride was very short and in practically no time, dad had stopped in front of the school building. Saying a quick goodbye to him, I climbed out and went into the torture cell, also known as high school.
When I got to my locker, I was more than surprised to see that all the vandalism was gone. It was gone like it was never there in the first place. It was strange to say the least, because if the authorities had stepped in, then they would've made sure to call me to the principal's office to give me a lecture of some sort, and no such thing had happened.
It wasn't like I was ungrateful, because I was very glad that the hurtful words were gone. It was just that I wanted to know how it happened. And I wasn't the only one who had wanted to know this. Every passing by student stopped to look at it with surprise. I couldn't blame them, if it were me in their place, then I would also be surprised to see that the locker of the new girl was cleaned overnight. Strange, huh?
