Violet's POV
.
.
"What the heck! How are we supposed to get out now if someone is standing guard on the entrance?" one emotion dominated my voice, fear.
"As far as I can understand, whoever is here won't make himself known to us. He is only supposed to keep an eye on me," he then fell silent.
I listened eagerly and heard the heavy footsteps of a man getting louder by each passing second. I gasped quietly, the sound making Brad look at me, "Someone is coming here." My voice was whispered but panicked.
He thought for another few seconds and said calmly and coolly, "He is only looking around, checking if I'm still here. Now can you imitate a few moans?"
My eyes widened and I struggled to keep my voice low, "W-what do you m-mean?"
He rolled his eyes, "Just make some sounds like we are having sex. Whoever he is, will go back to report that I was here just to cheat on Melissa."
My jaw literally hit the ground and my eyes widened even more, "Y-you can't be serious, Brad! I can't do that."
He huffed, "That was a perfectly good plan to free myself from her and this follower as well, Steele! Fine, let's just get out through the back door."
He started to crawl and I followed him. He seemed to know his way around here. We stopped in front of a wooden door that was ajar. He whispered, "The way to the back door is through here."
I nodded, "You seem to know this place."
He ignored my statement and moved into the room. Rolling my eyes, I followed him quietly. Once inside the room, he stood up to his full height and went to peek through a hole in the wall into the outer room from where we came. A minute later, he moved back cursing under his breath.
I asked in panic, "What happened? Is he coming here?"
He shook his head, "No. That's fucking Jimmy! He has a hitman following me! He has gone fucking mad!"
I gasped, "What do we do now?"
He answered, "Let's go out from the back and wait for him to leave. Only then I can retrieve my bike."
Before I could even reply, he had started to walk more into the warehouse. I followed him wordlessly. Soon he stopped in front of a rusty metallic door and pulled it open, just enough for a man to go through. Thankfully it didn't make any noise and we were out of the warehouse in a flash.
I released a breath I didn't know I was holding and said in a low voice, "Thank God, I'm alive!"
"Don't celebrate just yet, Steele. I still need my bike to get back," he said in annoyance.
"I'm not riding that death trap again," I frowned.
He shrugged, "I don't give a fuck, Steele. You can either come with me or find your way home by yourself!"
I gasped, "I don't know my way back home. Where are we?"
"A mile or two from the civilization," he answered annoyed.
I realized that I was doomed. I couldn't make it home by myself as this city was new to me and he said that we were out of civilization. I had no choice but to go with him. I asked, "What is this area?"
"Can you keep your fucking mouth shut for a minute?" he snapped at me.
"Just tell me this last thing and I'll not ask anymore questions," I nodded solemnly.
