Violet's POV

As hard as it was to believe, I was on my way to a party.

Yes, you read right.

And that too on a Friday night when I could have been doing the things I enjoyed. Like reading a book or listening to music.

The stupid party is in some cabin, held by the football players of some other school. I was assured that no one from my school would be there which was part of the reason I agreed.

The main reason as for why I had to endure this was Isaac. He had gotten himself a crazy stalker of an admirer and no matter what he said, she just wasn't giving up. He told me with horror that when he informed her that he was in a relationship, she only laughed and said, that doesn't have to stop you. Seriously, who does that?

You might be wondering where I fit in all of this, right?

Well, being the only girl who knew of his secret, I was sacrificed to be the candidate for posing as his fake girlfriend. How stupid is that?

I sighed, "Tell me again what do you want me to say?"

He grinned at me, "Just a few things about how you're the girlfriend I informed her of. Act like a jealous wife. I think you can pull it off if you really put your mind to it. By the way, thank you for doing this."

I was about to hurl an insult at him for saying that, but I was cut off when the car stopped and he announced that we were there. I sighed, "Alright. Here goes nothing."

When we entered the cabin, the party was in full swing. The smell of sweat and alcohol was hitting my nose, making me want to run away, but I had told Isaac that I'd help him. So I crushed the urge.

Isaac took my hand and led me to the kitchen. It took us time and effort to get there because of all the party-goers. In the kitchen, it was less stuffy. Only a bunch of people were in there. It turned out that the Isaac's admirer was in there as well because before I knew it, a tall brunette had her arms around him.

"Oh you are here, Isaac. I'm so glad that you decided to come," she squealed and tried to kiss him but he turned his face away, making her lips fall on his cheek.

The scene was comical, but I held my laughter in because I had a role to play. I cleared my throat loudly, "I'd really appreciate it if you could take your paws away from my boyfriend, whoever you are."

She sprung back as if burned and I heard Isaac's relieved sigh at being released from her hold, "You're his girlfriend? Why would you bring her here, Isaac?" She frowned.

I'll admit that she is pretty. She had on a lilac colored, halter-neck dress which ended halfway on her thighs. Her eyes were emerald green and her skin was clear. I almost felt bad lying to her.

"Of course, he'd bring me here. I'm his girlfriend, after all. And especially when there are girls threatening our relationship," I growled at her.

"I wasn't threatening your relationship," she said in an offended tone.

I snorted and my voice was filled with sarcasm, "Totally."

"Isaac? Don't you see that she's a bitch. Why are you even with her?" She was practically pleading now, but she'd made a mistake by calling me a bitch.

"How dare you call her that? I'm with her because I love her. Now get lost," Isaac barked. His acting was so good, I almost believed that he was angry for real.
