Violet's POV

.

.

Monday mornings! I've always hated them. Loads of homework to submit to the teachers and most importantly, the hardship of waking up early after two days of sleeping in late.

My alarm woke me up at six in the morning and I sleepily dragged myself out of my bed and to the bathroom. I took a shower which made my eyes open enough to complete my morning routine. I then brushed my teeth and dried my hair. Walking to my closet, I picked out my white skinny jeans and a pink loose top with boat neck, pairing them off with my pink wedges. Putting my hair in a high ponytail, I put on some lip balm. I stuffed my iPhone into my pocket and picked up my bag. Then I went downstairs to have breakfast. Mom and dad were having breakfast. I greeted them, "Good morning!"

They looked up. Mom was the one to reply, "Morning, Violet. Do you want waffles?"

I nodded, "Yeah, I'd love that."

I poured myself some coffee while she handed me a plate with two waffles on it with strawberries and cream. We ate silently. I finished my waffles in a hurry and drank my coffee. Then I said goodbyes to mom and dad, and went out. Yes, I'm walking today cuz I like walking.

It didn't take me long at all to get to the school. The school building was filled with chatting students as usual. I found Kate and Michael making out in the parking lot. I wrinkled my nose, "Get a room, you two!"

They broke apart lightening fast at my voice and a slight blush appeared on Kate's cheeks. Michael acknowledged me, "Hello, Violet. How was your weekend?"

"Hi, Michael," I answered his question with a slight frown, "It was okay, I guess."

By now, Kate had came back to her senses. She hugged me and whined, "Violet, you didn't even told me how that dinner went!"

"Sorry, but I myself was having a hard time understanding it all," I answered truthfully.

"Now I'm curious. What happened?" she asked.

There were still ten minutes remaining before the first class, therefore I decided to tell her and Michael, "The boss of my father was an old time friend of dad who he haven't seen for twenty five years. And you won't believe who his son was!"

She was now fully interested, "Who was?"

"That was Brad Parker! Can my life get any worse than this!" I exclaimed in annoyance.

"You can't possibly mean the Brad Parker?" she jumped in surprise.

I just nodded, "Yes, I have the worst luck ever. Derek said that he will visit again soon," I groaned.

"You mean Brad freaking Parker! OMG! Melissa will surely kill you now!" she exclaimed.

"Calm down, Kate. If you keep announcing it to the world, then Melissa sure will," Michael was the levelheaded one as usual.

Kate exhaled slowly, "OK, fine. So what happened then?"

"Nothing much. An awkward dinner, followed by a Disney movie with his little sister, Isabella. Damn, I was so glad when they went out of that door!" I sighed.
