First and Last

Chapter 29

                “I’m so excited for the trip!!!” Reina said jumping up and down.

                “What are you talking about?” Amber asked her.

                We were in Lorelei’s bedroom just hanging out. Reina just finished talking in the phone when she started jumping.

                “The trip!!” Reina said excitedly at us.

                “What trip?” I asked.

                The door opened and Lorelei came with a tray in her hand. “Snacks!” she said putting it down on her study table.

                “The university trip!!” Reina said.

                “When is it again??” Lorelei asked giving each one of us a cake.

                “Thanks,” I said to her.

                “Next Friday,” Reina said slicing her cake with a fork.

                “Where is it?” Amber asked sitting beside me in Lorelei’s bed.

                “Don’t get any crumbs in my bed,” Lorelei warned.

                Amber and I nodded.

                “I forgot where. But we are all going on a hike! The dean said there are five houses and we can pick whoever we want to go with!”

                “That’s great!” Amber said.

                “So I already listed who are going with us,” Reina said. “The four of us, Leo, Celine, Scott and his friends and some other more students! But I’ve got a bad news. Since the dean thought it was just a misunderstanding with Angelica and us, he ordered – I mean he ordered me to get Angelica in our house.”

                We all shrugged.

                “Don’t worry. At least we got Scott!” Reina said looking at me.

                Amber started nudging me.

                “Stop it.” I said laughing.

                “You haven’t seen him, right?” Lorelei said sitting at the floor.

                “Yeah,” I said. Then I heard rain pouring outside. “It’s raining?”

                Lorelei looked outside and nodded. “And I guess it was a heavy rain. It might be a thunderstorm.” Then they all looked at me.

                “Let’s play some loud music,” Amber suggested.

                They all knew I was afraid of thunder. Something happened when I was still small – I don’t want to talk about it.

                Good thing my friends were here with me. Every time there was a thunder they all talked at the same time. I was laughing so hard. And they were all laughing at themselves too.

                “I think the rain stopped,” Amber said looking outside.

                Reina followed her. “It’s still raining. But not that hard.”

                “And it’s getting late,” I said.

                We all looked at the clock and it was already 9 in the evening. “We still got classes tomorrow,” Amber said.

                We said goodbye to Lorelei and her parents. She was an only child.

                We all went home. I was in my room when I remembered the trip. Scott would be there. I’m going to see him again. Finally! I wonder what he was doing right now? Then I remembered Angelica would be there. I just wished she wasn’t planning anything on Scott like going to his room and – raped him? I laughed at what I just thought.

                I just wished she behaved on the trip.
