“Damian what should I do?” I asked my brother. We were in my room.

“Why?” he asked me. “What’s wrong with the dinner tomorrow?”

“Scott will be there and Leo,” I said.

“That’s a problem?” he asked me.

“Leo doesn’t know we knew Scott,” I said.

                “Then tell him,” he said.

                “I told him I don’t know Scott,” I said.

“Ah. That’s a problem,” he said. “Just go with the flow.”

“Go with the flow? Are you crazy? Our parents may say something,”

                “Like?”

“They might say that we’ve been together or something,”

“Ah. I don’t know Lindsay. We can’t just cancel the dinner.”

                “I know.”

                “There’s nothing you could do.”

                “I know.”

                “Just tell Leo the truth.”

                “I can’t.”

                “And why?”

“He might get angry at me. Because I lied. And Damian – “I told Damian what happened the day Scott asked me to go the park. Everything he told me.

Damian eyebrow rose. “I guess he’s telling the truth.”

“I know. I could feel it.”

                “And you still love him?”

                “I don’t know. I love Leo.”

                “Who do you love most?”

I didn’t reply back. Who do I love the most? I love Leo. I love everything about him. And Scott? Do I still love him? I guess. And I shouldn’t. Loving someone else means cheating on Leo. I should stop it.

“So?” Damian asked waiting for my answer.

                “I love Leo.” That’s what I said.

                “There then.”

“Just forget Scott.” I looked at Damian and he wasn’t looking at me. He was hiding something from me.

                “Damian.”

                “Hmmm?”

I looked at him. “Nothing.” Maybe I was just mistaken. My brother wouldn’t hide something from me.

“Kath (Scott’s sister) will be there too,” I said.

                “I know,” Damian said.

“Aren’t you nervous at all? Elizabeth will be there, right?”

“Yeah. There’s nothing to be nervous about.”

It just means Damian was really over Elizabeth. Should I do the same to Scott?
