First and Last

Chapter 19

                “Lindsay, wait up!” I heard Leo’s voice calling me.

                I looked back and saw him running. “I thought you got practice today?” I asked him.

                “I have,” he said panting. “But I wanted to spend my time with you today.”

                “You left your practice?” I asked him.

                He nodded and smiled. “Your coach might get angry at me for stealing you.”

                He laughed. “Don’t worry. I told him I’ll be seeing you.”

                “What did he say?”

                “He told me that, that’s great because I need an inspiration because I played a little – uhm – bad today,” he said.

                “Really? Something happened?” I asked him.

                “Nothing,” he said. “I just needed my inspiration.”

                I laughed at him. “So, where are we going?”

                “Did you bring your car?”

                “Nope.”

                “Then let’s watch a movie,” he said holding my hand.

                We went to the mall and buy our ticket. Then popcorn next.

                “What flavor do you like?” he asked me.

                “Cheese,” I replied. I suddenly remembered Scott. The time he suddenly popped out of nowhere and bought me my popcorn.

                “Lindsay,” he called.

                I looked at him. “What is it?”

                “I asked what drink you like,” he said.

                “Orange Slush,” I said.

                “Two cheese popcorn please and two orange slushes,” he ordered.

                He gave me my popcorn. I looked at it; it looks too plain for me. If you could remember I love my popcorn to be added with salt and additional cheese flavoring.

                “What’s wrong?” Leo asked me.

                “Nothing,” I said. “Let’s go.”

                The movie was about two best friends who fell in love with each other. Even though there were many obstacles coming their way. Their love for each other was strong.

                The movie ended and we decided to eat dinner. “Our second month of being together is coming soon,” Leo said leaning close to me.

                We were in a restaurant eating our dinner. “It felt like we’re together for years,” I told him and smiled.

                “I felt the same,” he smiled back.

                After eating we walked for a while. “What do you want to do in our monthsary?” he asked me. He was holding my hand swinging it back and forth.

                “Well, I don’t know yet,” I said.

                “I – “ he stopped talking. He even stopped walking. He was staring at something in front of us.

                I looked and I saw a girl. A very pretty girl with angelic face. The girl looked at Leo and then at me. Then at our hand clasped together. The girl ran away and I’m sure I saw a tear drop.

                I felt Leo’s hand clasp my hand tightly. Who is she?
