“Are you okay?” Leo asked me the following day. It was Sunday and he was at our house.
“Why?” I asked him.
We were in the porch just hanging around. “You look like you cried last night,” he said.
I really did cried last night. My eyes were all puffy and red. “I just slept so long,” I lied. I laid my head in Leo’s shoulder. “Leo.”
“What is it?”
“You love me, right?” I asked him.
“Of course.” He replied.
I smiled. “Is there something wrong?” he asked me.
“Nothing,” I said.
“Was there someone else?” he asked.
Guilt struck me. “Of course not.” I replied. I love Leo so much. I don’t want to lose him.
He laughed at me and tickled me. “I know.”
I was laughing so hard. “Stop it!” I laughed. “I’ll get you!” I pulled away and started tickling him.
“Hey love birds!” I heard my brother Damian greeted.
“Hey Damian,” Leo greeted.
“By the way, congratulations Leo,” Damian said. “I watched the game.”
“You did?” I asked him. “I didn’t saw you yesterday.”
“If you must have forgotten, my girlfriend is studying in the same school as you two are,” Damian said sitting in the chair in front of us.
Oh yeah. Damian’s girlfriend, Elizabeth.
“Congratulations on being the Captain,” Damian said to Leo.
“Thank you,” Leo said.
“Kids!” we heard my mom called.
We went inside and saw our mom in the kitchen doing something. “Can you help me?” she asked.
She was cooking something and it smells so delicious. “What are you cooking mom?” I asked her.
“It’s just lasagna,” my mom said.
“Is it done?” Damian asked.
“Yes.” My mom said. “I want you three to arrange the foods okay?”
We nodded and my mom gave us the lasagna and garlic bread. We got five plates out and we arranged the food. Two garlic bread each plate and Damian put the same size of lasagna each. Leo put the finished plate in the table.
“We’re done!” we said at the same time.
“Let’s eat!” Damian said excitedly.
We started eating. “This is good,” Leo said.
My mom smiled at him. “Thank you.”
“By the way, I heard the Anderson is back,” my dad said.
I was shocked that I didn’t swallow my food right. “Are you alright?” Leo asked me after I drank the water he gave me.
“Yeah,” I said.
Damian smirked at me. I rolled my eyes at him.
“Like I said, I heard they were back and I already contacted them,” my dad said. “I asked them to eat dinner here with us tomorrow evening.”
“What??” I shouted.
“Why are you shouting?” Damian asked.
“I’m just – nothing,” I said.
Leo was giving me weird looks. I looked at him and said sorry.
“That’s great honey,” my mom said to my dad. “Why don’t you Leo eat dinner here with us tomorrow and ask Elizabeth to come too Damian.”
I gulped.
“Sure,” Leo said.
“I’ll tell her,” Damian said.
Uh-oh. What should I do? Scott would sure be there. And Leo was going to be there too.
