Chapter 6: Crazy Clove

Chapter 6

Katniss P.O.V.

"Katniss!"

I look up and see Clove coming running towards me and Peeta.

We have our lockers right beside each other. Ironic huh?


I don't have time to think before I realize it's gonna be a crash.

And the second after I realized that, Clove crashes right into me, causing us both to fall to the floor and Peeta starts laughing.

"Clove!" I whine. "What was that for?"

"Effie has put up the roles!" She shouts.

Oh. Already? Effie works fast.

"Okay?"

"Yeah and guess who got the lead?!"

"You?"

"You!"

Oh... Wait. WHAT? No way, what happened with me being a tree? I was serious about that.

"Excuse me?" I choke.

"Yeah! You and Peeta!"

"Wait what?!" Peeta shouts.

I look up at him. Well, at least I get to do it with him and no other guy.

"Yeah, Effie must have liked you two, I mean who wouldn't? When you fought on the stage yesterday, you really had real emotions, Peeta tried to push you away but anyone could see at him that he didn't want to, and that's exactly what your scene was all about!" Clove says fast and I try to keep up with her.

After the scene yesterday Peeta kept apologizing to me even if the fight wasn't even real. But I assured him that I wasn't mad at him or anything like that, no I could never be mad at my Peeta.

But I don't wanna be the lead. I really don't. Oh I think I'm starting to get a stage fright.
