Chapter 36: Fighting

Chapter 36

Skeeter's P.O.V.

(Two days earlier)

Katniss and Peeta will be home in two days. Two more days before I can see them. They're like my big brother and sister. Peeta helps me cope with everything going on with my mother. And Katniss helps me cope with everything else. Her and Annie.

Is hard for me to see Gale. I know that I'm the one that hurt him. And I'm the one to blame because of the fact that he's broken.

I'm broken too. Gale don't seem to see that. He only see his own problems. I guess I understand him. If he had broken up with me the way I broke up with him I would most defiantly not be able to get up out bed.

The others think I don't know about all the girls he slept with. But I do. I do and I'm not angry. I'm more disappointed and I'm the one to blame for that as well. I made him do that. I broke up with him without a single explanation.

Finnick is trying to be nice to Gale and try to help him with the others, for Peeta's sake and for Gale's. Katniss and Annie told, how he came to their beach house all drunk and broken. They told me how Peeta and Finnick cleaned him up in the shower after he puked and everything.

"What are you doing here again?" Cato hisses.

I look up and see Gale.

"Seeing Finnick", he mumbles and scratch the back of his neck.

He looks so miserable it stings in my heart at the sight of him. And the others don't make it any easier for him.

Maybe I should stop this now while I can.

"Gale! Hey", Finnick says and comes into the living room.

"Why is he here?" Marvel hisses at Finnick.

"Why wouldn't he be here, our beach house is where we hang out!" Finnick says, sounding defending.

"But he have no right to be here anymore!" Cato says angrily.

"Yes he does", Finnick says.

Marvel hit Gale in the face. He falls to the ground because he don't have the energy to fight back or even to stand up. Oh no.

I should say something now! Then why am I this quiet? Why don't I just stand up and defend Gale? Even Finnick defend Gale because even he can see how broken Gale is.

"Marvel!" Annie yells.

"What the hell dude?!" Finnick yells.

Marvel takes a hold of Finnick's arms and keeps them on his back.

"Let go asshole!" Finnick growls.

"Nope", he says.

Cato take a hold of gales legs and starts to drag him. I think Gale have fainted.

"Cato stop it let him go!" Finnick shouts. "Marvel let go of my arms!"

Cato drags Gale towards the basement. Oh no what's he gonna do? Marvel keeps his grip on Finnick's arms and now Finnick start at to fight back. They're almost equally strong, but Finnick is a tad stronger then Marvel.

Finnick break loose and run for the basement, everyone follows.

Just as we get there Cato locks the door and takes the kee and put it in his pocket.

"Gale!" He yells as he starts banging in the door with both of his fists. Then he turn towards Cato. "Cato open the door!"

"No! He should be punished for what he have done to Skeeter!" Cato says hard.

It's sweet that they look after me and all, but this is going off a little too hard and too much. They don't have to lock Gale into the basement.

"He haven't done anything wrong!" Annie yells.

No this surprises me. He haven't done anything wrong?

"Yes he have!" Marvel shouts back.

"Don't dare shout at Annie!" Finnick yells.

Everyone starts to yell at each other. Finnick is furious, and so is Cato and Marvel. Glimmer, Clove and Annie yells to defend their boyfriends. Johanna and I just stand and watch them.

"Hey!" Johanna yells and everyone shuts up. "Don't you see? Te group is falling apart... Or no, this group don't even exist anymore, so just get along until Katniss and Peeta comes home and then try to explain to them why the hell this group isn't a group anymore!"

Then she takes my hand and pulls out of the house.

What's going to happen with Gale?

Katniss P.O.V.

(Present)

The ambulance men put Gale on the stretcher.

"So what happened?" One of them asks.

"He must have fell while getting something, we just found him now", Cato lies.

"He's dehydrated and it looks like he haven't eaten", the man says.

"Yeah he have been through some things and he haven't eaten or drunk anything for a while", Marvel lies.

The ambulance man nods and they take Gale away.

I can't calm Skeeter down. She's cries and cries. She haven't cries ever so I think she lets everything out now.

We follow everyone up and see how the ambulance drives off with Gale.

"We have to go there!" Skeeter cries.

Maysilee takes her hand and walks out with Skeeter, and Haymich follow them.

Peeta is furious. I've actually never seen his this furious I think.

"The fucking last thing I asked of you two before we left..." Peeta says low trying to control his anger as he turn towards Cato and Marvel. "... Was to try to behave nicely towards Gale!"

They look ashamed.

"Do you two idiot count this as nice?!" Peeta yells.

He pin up Cato against the wall.

"You could have killed him you idiot! Does the word friendship mean nothing to you?" He yells.

He let's go of Cato and turn towards Finnick.

"And where the hell were you?" Peeta asks him, not yelling this time.

"I tried to stop them! I swear Peeta I did", he says.

"He did", Johanna says and take up her phone.

At the phone we see a video of Marvel punishing Gale in the face, Gale falling to the floor, Annie screaming, Finnick yelling, Marvel holding a tight grip of Finnick's arms as he tries to jerk away, Cato taking a hold of Gale's legs and drag him to the basement as he pushes him down and Gale falls down the stairs. Finnick starts fighting Marvel to get away and wins. Finnick rund up to Cato. He bags on the door with both his fists. Then the screen turns black.

"Okay sorry Finn", Peeta says. "But you two..." He says pointing causing at both of them. "You better kiss your lucky star and pray for Gale's life, because you might have killed him!"

Then Peeta takes my hand and drag me out if the house towards the car.

Oh I hope Gale don't die.

Please Gale don't die.
