Chapter 32: Hospital

Chapter 32

Peeta's P.O.V.

We stand at look out over an shouting, screaming and applauding audience. I see blood on the floor and that's when Katniss just fall down on the stage floor.

People starts to whisper. I fall down on my knees beside her.

"Katniss!"

I look backstage.

"Help! Help!" I shout.

I look at Katniss again and see that her eyes is starting to roll in her head.

Now no one is whispering. Everyone is really quiet.

Some people from backstage starts to run.

I pat Katniss cheeks. She can't close her eyes. She just can't.

Don't close your eyes Katniss", I cry. "Don't baby don't. NO DON'T!"

And then of course, she closes her eyes.

"NO, NO KATNISS!" I yell.

The people come up to us. They take up Katniss on a stretcher and we all run backstage.

Ruby, Haymitch and Maysilee runs up to us.

"What's wrong with her?" I shout, as tears falls down my eyes. "She bleeds and everything!"

"We have to take her to a hospital!" Ruby shouts.

Everyone starts to shout at the same time. No one can hear what anyone says.

Ugh I can't think!

"Everyone calm down!" Haymitch yells. "Now we have to think of Katniss and get her to a hospital as soon as possible".

An this is when everyone starts to run out and we are met by an ambulance.

I jump in and everyone else drive in cars after us. Although the ambulance is quicker.

When we arrive at the hospital nurses and doctors takes Katniss away from me.

"KATNISS! NO DON'T TAKER AWAY FROM ME! NO DON'T PLEASE! KATNISS!" I roar and tries to run after but one of the ambulance men takes a hold of me.

I try to fight the guy, but he holds such a strong grip on me that I can't.

"Let me go!" I hiss as I try to get out of his grip.

"No you calm down, the doctor and nurses is going to help Katniss", he says. "So calm yourself".

"Don't you tell me to calm down, it's my life in their hands we're talking about, she's my life, my world, my everything!" I shout at him. "So don't dare tell me to calm down, because it's not an option for me right now! You hear? It's not!"

He just looks at me.

"Then just trust the doctors with your life, they're only here to help remember that, and right know, you can't trust anyone else", he says.

Oh. Well. When he puts it that why. But no, I shouldn't trust them. Oh who am I kidding? He's right. I have no other to trust in this.

I stop fighting and becomes still.

It's like my soul have been sucked out of me. I have no life left in my body anymore.

And then I here the others.

"Peeta!" Ruby says and runs up to me.

The ambulance man lets go if me and I fall into Ruby's arms.

"Oh Peeta, she's going to be fine, everything is going to be okay", she says.

"I just feel so powerless right now, I want to protect her", I say.
