Chapter 18: Tell her!

Chapter 18

Peeta's P.O.V.

"Gale you gotta pull your shit together man!" I say irritated.

Gale dragged med over to a cafe and now sits with his face onto the table and whines over how miserable he is.

If he's so damn miserable without Skeeter, he should just tell her how he feels, not me! I can't do anything but giving him advices or maybe telling Skeeter, but hey! Are we in lower school? No. So he needs to tell her himself.

"How? She would never go out with me!" He whines.

"Not with that attitude!" I say irritated. Gale looks at me. He looks a bit hurt because of my words. I sigh. "Look man, I know that this isn't the most easiest thing to do", I start getting his attention. "Trust me, I know all about this, I was terrified of telling Katniss, but in the end I had no choice, she started to ask me about a girlfriend I didn't even have, so I was kind of forced into it, you're not, but you should, okay? You really should, I'm not gonna force you, but it's going to feel better after, so pull yourself together and tell her!"

"I don't know..." Gale says doubtful.

"Why?" I ask.

"She might diss me!" Gale says and bangs his head onto the table again.

"God you're gonna get a concussion if you don't stop that, man", I point out.

"Doesn't matter..." Gale whines. "Maybe I can get a memory loss and forget about Skeeter".

God this man has issues!

But the thing is that Skeeter would probably not say no or diss Gale. She likes him. Katniss told me so. I told Katniss that Gale likes Skeeter because she was about to kill him for what he did in our house. No need to get into details, let's just say that a canvas was broken, paint and one of Katniss lipsticks was needed and it didn't end well. So I had to tell her, and she told me that Skeeter likes him as well.

I should just send Gale off to Katniss. After how she got Cato to stop being an ass and admit his real feelings for Glimmer, I know that she can do anything. But I can't send Gale to Katniss, he's still a bit afraid of Katniss after what he did. They would end up killing each other or something.

"Gale for gods sake's!" I say angry. I've had enough if this now. "Pull yourself together and go and tell her! If she says no it's only because how foolish you've been acting, and you don't know what she's gonna say. She might surprise you!"

Gale whimper.

"Yeah okay", he says.

"Now!" I say, pointing at the door. "Skeeter is at our place, I'll drive, come on!"

I know that this is a bit pushy. But I really can't take Gales whining and whimper anymore. I've really had enough. And I know that the other guys has started to notice that he likes Skeeter. I mean he makes it pretty obvious when he only makes a fool of himself when she's around.

Gale drags himself out of the chair and he walks too slow, so I decide to be mean and push him instead.

We get to my car and I drive off too my house.

Skeeter's P.O.V.

I really need to tell Gale today. I've just tried to diss him. But I just can't. He's too absorbable and handsome and funny. He really is.

Katniss is mad at him. I understand her. Why did he do that two days ago? Katniss was about to kill him, and she would've if Peeta didn't hold her back. That was pretty funny to watch actually even though the whole situation wasn't something to laugh at, and especially not after when everyone in the group had to stay and clean up for about four hours.

But how am I going to tell Gale? I don't even know if he likes me or what will happen after I tell him. I don't know anything!

"Just tell him straight", Katniss suggests. "That's the easiest way".

Yeah maybe she's right. Okay. Tell him straight... Yeah sure, I can do that!

I can't do that!

That doesn't matter. What matters is that I need to. Today. Now.

I hear the front door open.

"Katniss?" I hear Peeta call.

"Yeah?" Katniss calls back, there is so much love in her voice.

I wonder if I'm going to be able to sound like that?

Katniss is my biggest role model. She's mentally strong, she's beautiful but doesn't care about how she looks, she's a super good friend, she doesn't care what others thinks about her, she doesn't do what everyone else does, she follows her own race and she always defense her friends, and yet you can't be mistaken about the love she feels for Peeta. How her whole mood changes within seconds when she sees him, how her voice changes when she talks to him, her eyes when she looks at him... That's real love. I wanna feel that too, and I hope I'm gonna.

"Is Skeeter with you?" Peeta calls.

Katniss looks at me.

"She is, why?"

"Could she come down ... Shut up Gale! Could she come down here please?"

I frown. Gale? What?

"Um yeah", I call unsure.

I walk down the stairs as Peeta walks up.

"I'm going to Katniss, have fun downstairs", he says and winks.

'Have fun downstairs?' And what the hell does that mean?

When I'm down, I see Gale standing there, all red in his face.

"I need to talk to you", he says and scratch his neck nervously.

"Yeah?"

He walks closer to me.

"Yeah, I just have to tell you that... That I..." He says unsure of how to say it. "I have some really strong feelings for you".

"And what does that mean?" I ask.

"This..." He whispers before placing his warm lips onto mine and I feel electricity rushing through my whole body.

He likes me?

I kiss him back. Maybe this is the time. The time that I get a boyfriend. And the time my crush has feelings for me as well.

I know that this chapter wasn't the best. But my grandfather died yesterday so I haven't been up to write really, I truly try to make it as good as possible.
