Chapter 29

Peeta's P.O.V.

Jeez. I can't take much more of Gale.

I'm sitting in the café with him. Some girl is sitting in his lap and they're raw kissing each other.

What the hell?

Gale has been sleeping around with girls ever since he and Skeeter broke up.

One second he sits beside me and whines about his miserable life, and the other second he's having sex with another girl.

It's like Gale is trying to drown his feelings in sex.

But now I've had enough of Gale.

I stand up and drag the girl away from him.

"Get the hell away from him alright!" I hiss at her and push her towards the door.

She looks at me and then walks out of the café.

"Man what the hell?!" Gale asks angrily.

"Dude it's time you return to reality!" I almost shout at him.

People starts looking at us.

"Nothing to see here people, just trying to wake up my friend from a nightmare he put all of our friends into, so mind your own business!" I say.

People raises their eyebrows and looks down at their newspapers, or the once they're here with.

"Dude mind sitting down?" Gale hiss with his hand covering him from people to see who he is.

I take a deep breath and sit down on my chair again.

"You're lucky that Skeeter doesn't know anything about what you're doing", I say hard to him. "But everyone else in the group, they know, and neither one of us are proud over you or even happy with you, Katniss refuses to talk to you and if Finnick hadn't cleaned you up after you throwed up, he wouldn't talk to you either!"

Gale looks at me. Trying to find something to say. But I guess that he can't, so I just continue.

"I know that you broke when Skeeter broke up with you, but you didn't even bother to ask why she did!" I point out. "And I understand that you got sad and broke and all, but that's no excuse for having sex with every girl you come across. The only reason Katniss or anyone else in the group hasn't told Skeeter yet is because we all know how that would break her down, and if you took your head out of your own ass for just one minute and looked at her, you would see that she still loves your lousy ass!"

I know that I'm being hard on Gale right now. But I have to. I've been trying to talk nicely with him, but he never seemed to hear me. Now when I talk like this, he hears me, but I don't know if he'll listen to me though.

"And Skeeter isn't feeling so good either and instead of talking to her, you go off and fuck everyone besides the girls in our group!" I say angrily. "You're gonna be seen as a manly slut if you don't cut it out!" Gale looks ashamed. Like I hit him with a brick in his face or something. I sigh. "Come on now, we're getting Katniss and Skeeter", I mumble and pat Gale's shoulder. "Sorry if I sounded angry man, but you can't say that you didn't deserve it".

I stand up, and so does Gale.

He sighs.

"I know", he says low. "You're kind of the only one who really can stand to be near me right now, thank you for that".

Wow we're getting deep.

"No problem, you're my best friend, you and Finnick, and I'll stand by your decisions, no matter how stupid they may be", I tell him as we walk out of the café. "But as your best friend it's my job to stop you when I see that it's starting to go down hill as well, and you're really out on thin ice right now".
