Chapter 28: Drama

Chapter 28

Katniss P.O.V.

These past few weeks has not been for Skeeter. And therefore not fun for either of us girls.

Gale is not making it easier. He's being a total ass towards Skeeter. Peeta even told me that Gale is sleeping around nowadays, trying to forget about Skeeter. I haven't told Skeeter that, and I won't either, she has way too much going on now anyway, she doesn't need to know that either.

Skeeter has become really depressed about the way Gale is behaving towards her. Like she doesn't even exist. Like she's just a price of the wall.

He talks to us when she's with, and acts as if she's completely vanished in the thin air.

Yesterday Glimmer and I went to the school bathroom, and there we found Skeeter. With a knife. Against her wrist.

We made it before she could do something to herself, but now we're afraid to leave her alone. We have our eyes on her all the time, we even forced her to move in with me, Annie, Peeta and Finnick for some time until she feels better.

Skeeter starves herself. She doesn't eat very much. She only eats when we force her to, but that's not easy I can tell you.

She has stopped speaking. We can't get her to say anything at all. After Annie and I talked to her in the park, she stopped speaking entirely.

I wish we could get her life back on track. I mean she hasn't cried or anything, I guess that she won't allow herself to feel weak for even a short time. She won't let her feelings out for the world to see, she's trapped inside herself together with her feelings. She turns from the world and into herself instead, and I gotta admit that this is scaring me half to death.

I have heard her, mumbling to herself though, but so quite that I can't even hear what she says. I don't even know if she's really talking or not.

We have drama now. Skeeter is also in the drama group because I kind off forced her when she first joined the group.

We sit in the auditorium, waiting for Effie to start up the drama class. We've come halfway through the year and therefore also halfway through the drama class.

Effie has changed the manuscript a bit. She added something in the end of the play. She added a song. A duet. That Peeta and I are going to sing.

She said that she's proud of us, and that she's proud of having us in her class.

Peeta and I are going on that tour next week. It's a tour across the whole country. Can you believe it, through the whole U.S.

We're sitting and waiting forever. Than Effie comes up on the stage with a bright big smile.

"Before we continue on with the class, some of the girls have a song number prepared for us today", she says. "Come on up girls".

And I stand up. Along with Johanna, Annie, Glimmer and Clove.

Skeeter looks at us confused as we walk up on stage. The guys looks surprised.

"This song is a song from a girl group, we all love, Little Mix, and we dedicate this song to one of our friends, who has a really hard time right now", Glimmer says.

The song starts.
