Chapter 30

I looked at him, my knees started to shake and my heart pounded so hard it was the only thing other than my unsteady breathing I could hear in the silence that lingered between us all.
"you know.. I told you he didn't love you.. "
"what?"
"if he really loved you he wouldn't put you through this Baekhyun" xiumin sang as he gripped chanyeols hair and pushed his face to the ground.
"let him go!" I yelled, my voice echoing through the trees.
My frantic eyes searched the faces of my friends who were stuck, frozen in their spots, unable to do anything other than watch.

"This could all be over Baekhyun!" he glared at me, his grip tightening on chanyeols red locks.

Chanyeols unconscious.. Unable to fight back, how unfair... how despicable can this be?

"Please... Please just let him go" I tried to pull out of the force held over my body. My feet are cemented to the ground and Sweat dripped down the side of my face but I tried harder,
and harder. Frustrated sighs escaped as I balled my fists.

I looked at Tao who was staring into my soul with his dark eyes. His powers to freeze time aren't releasing anytime soon.

"Let him go you little ankle biter!" Kai yelled as he fought against the hold.
"If anyone should die, it's this little pest!" he finally broke free and fell into me.
I fell face first to the ground,  I could only close my eyes when Kai kicked my ribs.

Cries of pain filled the forest and Chanyeols eyes blinked open.

"B-baek?" his voice was quiet and exhausted. The red in his eyes pulsed in faint hues.

Kai continued to stomp and kick me mercilessly.
As blood trickled down my face chanyeol shakily tried to stand, only to be yanked back down.
The pained face he made in return showed he was thinking of giving up.
"DIE!" Kai yelled furiously.

"w-what kind of brothers are you? Is this a joke?" Chanyeols deep voice broke.

"what was that?" Xiumin put his hand to his ear as chanyeol spoke.
"you're.. Just.. Going to let him kill him?" chanyeol took in quick breaths.

"it doesn't matter to me if he kills him,  because Kai is going to die as well, it doesn't matter who kills who as long as they are dead in the end" xiumin grinned manically.

Suddenly glass breaking cries filled my ears.

Jaehyun.

"my baby! Where is my baby!" I roared, my eyes flashing brightly as I changed forms.
"Don't worry.. The little demon is right there" xiumin pointed and my eyes followed.
Jaehyun was in his car seat.
The car seat was hanging on a tree branch.

"let him go!" chanyeols voice shook the ground.
"I will.. Once he is orphaned"
"w-what?" my breath shook as tears pooled in my eyes.
I looked up at xiumin who had the most insidious expression.

"X-xiumin"
"please don't cause a commotion.. For the sake of the little monster you call your son" with those words he put his hands on either side of Chanyeols head, chanyeols dazed eyes became wide as they met mine and Xiumin  forcefully broke his neck.

Tears flowed down my face.
My heart stopped.
Time stopped.
Life. Stopped.

"CHANYEOL!!?" I screamed until I felt my vocal cords were bleeding.

Shocked Gasps were heard from the others.

"Chanyeol !! Say something! I love you so much!!
Please!! Baby I need you! D-don't.. Leave me!" sobs uncontrollably escaped as hyperventilated breaths burned my lungs.

"oh please.. spare me the drama. He's gone." Xiumin rolled his eyes before stepping over to me.
He threw Kai out if his way so he could look down on me.
