Chapter 4

Charlie's P.O.V

I will be honest Beau gives the best hugs. I felt safe in his arms, like nobody could hurt me.

"I'm going over James' now Charl, cover for me"

"Fine, but what's it worth?"

"You always want something!"

"I know, oh well I guess Dad will have to find out you're over your boyfriends house!", I smiled at her with a sly glare.

"Okay okay, you win! I'll give you $50 and I'll make sure those girls don't be horrible to you again!"

"Now you're talking, that's a deal then!"

Ha. I always win because she knows I can kick her butt and I'm pretty good at blackmailing her.

I wish I could drive but instead I have to walk home, great. After walking for about an hour I came to a halt, I was back here again. And here come's the flashback...

*FLASHBACK*

"Here we are kids! We are officially living in Australia!"

"YAY!", me and Ashley shouted!

We adored our mum, why wouldn't we? She was our queen and we were her princesses. It was our 6th birthday and dad was in work. Mum was taking us to the beach!

"Mummy I hate this part, it's scary! I don't like heights"

"Don't worry Charlie, just look at the pretty water!" 

We were on a pretty high cliff which led to the beach. I hated heights and so did Ashely, that's why she made me sit on the outside, closest to the edge.

I continued to stare at the water whilst singing along to the radio with my mum and sister. We were only going about 30mph so we weren't in any danger or so we thought. There was a loud screeching of tires coming from somewhere and within a second my mum screamed and this car skidded around, clipped the car and then everything went black...

My eyes flickered open and there was a bright light. Where was I? Mum? Ashley? I had so many thoughts runnning around my head, I was petrified.

"Hello there lovely, I'm Doctor Jones, you have been in an accident. Your sister's okay and your father is with her!", he smiled at me kindly.

I sat up and asked where my mum was. He looked quite puzzled and left the room.

"Hiya babe!", it was my dad!

"Daddy!", I shouted and started to cry.

"Charlie I have a serious question, why did you ask where your mummy was?"

"Because she was in the car daddy, she was driving it"

"Are you sure?"

"Yes daddy, why?"

"Mummy wasn't in the car when they rescued you and Ashley"

I couldn't believe what I was hearing, my mum had...disappeared?

*END OF FLASHBACK*

I could feel the tears I've been holding in for so long coming. I let it all out and calmed myself down. I needed to find out what happened to her. Even if it killed me...
