Chapter 53

Beau's P.O.V

We landed back in the Uk. We took a taxi to the hospital. Luckily I still remembered what ward and things she was in.

I walked up to the receptionist with Jai right behind me.

"I'm here to see Miss Carter."

"Oh did she not tell you?"

"Tell me what?"

"Well she's been moved back to LA, she was taken yesterday. We had to send her back because it's where she lives locally and she took quite a bad turn I'm afraid"

I looked at Jai who lowered his head.

"Ok thank you"

"You're welcome"

We left the hospital and found a cafe quite close.

"What the hell are we going to do now"

Jai slowly lifted his head up and looked at me. He cleared his throat.

"We got to LA"

"Well no! Why didn't I think of that" I replied sarcastically

"Don't start, it's your mess I'm trying to help you fix!"

"Why aren't you with Sarah then?"

"We had a huge argument"

"I see. Sorry. Wanna talk about it?"

"No, I  actually wanted to talk about it with Charlie that's why I offered to come"

"Oh ok then"

We went back into the airport which was surprisingly quite empty. We bought last minute tickets and waited to go. 

Time dragged and then it was finally time to board the plane. Luckily it was one of the quick flight ones. We landed in LA within 3 hours.

Neither of us had enough money to pay for a taxi so we decided to walk. It'd take us around an hour so I wanted to pass time.

"Soo, what's happened between you and Sarah?"

"Well she bumped into her ex earlier and they went for a catch up. She hasn't stopped talking about him ever since so I got angry. I snapped at her which ended up in a bad argument."

"Oh dear. At least I'm not the only fuck up"

"You aren't a fuck up man, I just said that because I was upset. You are a great guy Beau, you just suck at showing it and you tend to say the wrong things"

"Thanks. Hm I guess you're right"

"I always am!"

"Haha yeah. Now I better thing of something to say before we get there"

"Good luck. I'll wait outside while you talk to her"

I smiled at him and nodded. He was a good brother. The rest of the walk was in silence. It was quite tiring because we both had suitcases to carry.

We finally arrived and Jai sat in the waiting room. I grabbed a teddy and flowers I'd bought her and checked which room she was in.

I slowly walked up to the door, so many words were going through my mind. I opened the door, she was fast asleep. I sat in the chair next to her taking hold of one of her hands. She stirred a bit and turned her head towards me. Her eyes flickered open once again and she focused on my face, I could see the concentration. 

A tear fell from her eyes. I was expecting her to push me away or scream but she didn't. I could tell she was in a lot of pain but she sat up and swung her arms around my neck.

It was so great to see her, my eyes started to fill up again. 

"I missed you" she said, her voice was a whisper

"I missed you too and I'm so so sorry! Why are you whispering?"

She pointed to her neck and there was a plaster type thing there. 

"I can't. Speak. Very. Good."

"Don't try then just let me talk!"

She raised her eyebrow then nodded.

"Jai's waiting by the way, he wants to speak to you later. But anyway, I'm sorry I left you it's just I've had so many things on my mind and James and Daniel also kept nagging me to go. I kept getting guilt tripped into it, things were said like "you'll let down the fans" etc. It was horrible. As soon as we argued I regretted leaving, I wish I'd stayed here. Me and Jai went to the first hospital you were in but they said you were moved here so we had to buy more plane tickets. After we landed we realised we were skint but I wasn't giving up. We walked from the airport to here."

"You. Didn't. Have. To."

"Yes I did because I love you and you mean everything to me"

Before she could reply I locked my lips with hers. 

It wasn't long and we were interrupted by someone clearing their throat. We both pulled away and looked towards the door. Jai was stood there.
