Chapter 15

Beau tensed when he saw James, oh my god I could see his muscles. Damn. Oh I'm so stupid snap out of it girl. I walked and sat by the kitchen table and both boys did the same.

"Sooo what did you want to talk about James?", god this was awkward.

"Us, you two, him, me, you."

"What about all of us?"

"Don't act stupid Charlie, your sister did that now look where she is", I stared at the floor upset by what he'd said.

"DON'T YOU DARE TALK TO HER LIKE THAT", Beau shouted getting on his feet. I hope they don't fight, I hate fights.

"Both of you calm down! If you kick off everyone will hear and come to see what's going on then all the secrets will come out, you don't want that do you?", I was sort of blackmailing them but it worked, they both sat back down.

James cleared his throat and started...

"I personally think you should be with me instead of Beau. Do you remember who he is? Yes he's one of my best friends but it doesn't mean I like what he does. Remember? The badboy who slept with everyone, who broke loads of girls hearts. He's still that guy Charlie trust me."

I genuinely couldn't believe what I was hearing, I sat there with my mouth hanging open. Instead Beau spoke.

"No I'm not that guy anymore James. I swear Charlie has changed me. It was her from the start but for so long she wasn't interested and until she was I wanted company, someone who I could talk to who wasn't a guy. I know it's soppy but it's the truth. I'd never hurt her. But hang on? I thought you loved Ashley?"

James instantly went quiet and stared at the floor just as I had done, he then looked up at Beau blanking me out.

"It was Charlie I liked so I thought dating her twin sister would be like dating her but it wasn't. They have such different personalities. I hated her like the rest of you and I'll be honest with you now Beau it's been bugging me for so long, I need to tell the boys too but it was me that killed Ashley"

"WHAT?"

"They threatened me, the girls' mum and the rest. It was either her or you guys. I wasn't prepared to lose you boys and Charlie was included with that and I couldn't lose her, so it was Ashley."

I walked out, I couldn't handle hearing this, I went up to my room, curled up in a ball and fell asleep with tears down my face.

*Beau's P.O.V*

Was I hearing right? James killed Ashley. 

"But, how?"

"Off the cliff remember?"

"But you lost control?"

"I made that up, I knew what was going to happen so my door was unlocked ready for me to jump out"

"I take it Charlie knew before?"

"She did, I told her but don't be mad I don't think it's hit her yet"

"I think it just did. Don't worry I'm not mad and you, I'll help you explain to the boys. Thank you for saving us James. But one deal?"

"Go on"

"Charlie's mine? She loves you as a friend James, I'm sure if you ask her she'll set you up with one of her friends"

"Okay Beau. That's a deal"

We shook hands and hugged it out. I walked up to find Charlie asleep in a ball. She was so short which made her ten times cuter. I noticed tears on her face so I wiped them away. I lay next to her and embraced her in a hug, she relaxed more and started breathing softly. At least tomorrow I could tell her that me and James are pals again.

I kissed her goodnight and fell asleep. Hopefully once the funeral is over things will get better and be more normal.
