A/N: This chapter turned out rather long. LOL over 2K words so you'll have an nice long update to read.

Maya POV

Thanksgiving was in a week and since Caleb and I split holidays I was allowing him to have Lily on that day but he would be bringing her to me later on which was nice. Lucas, Jordan, and I were going to go to Mom's for dinner. I hadn't talked to Lily about it yet but knew that I needed to since her dad would be dropping her off there instead of at my place.  Lily was in her playroom playing when Jordan joined me in the kitchen while I was doing canvas painting. Lucas was in watching a football game. Sometimes I just loved to do artwork if I was bored.

"What are you painting Maya?" Jordan asked as he walked over and stood beside me.

I looked down at him and smiled picking him up and placing him on my lap "Well, I was thinking of your Dad and the stories he's told about your Nanna and Papa's farm. It's the inspiration behind this painting. I'm painting a horse in a field during the sunset."

"It's so pretty. Can I paint something with you?" he asked.

I put Jordan back down on the floor and stood up t grab him a small canvas to paint on. "You certainly can, kiddo."

After setting everything up Jordan sat down at the table beside me. We were talking when Lily came out.

"Look Lily I'm painting with your Mom." Jordan said excitedly.

"She's not your Mommy Jordan." Lily said with a scowl on her face then she turned to look at me. "Mommy why do you not do anything with me anymore." Lily said and I was quite taken aback by her asking this.

I turned to look at her "Liliana Grace you can get that scowl right off your face and apologize to Jordan. I do things with you all the time."

"You used to but not anymore, Mommy." she said with a sad face before taking off down her room.

I looked over at Jordan who had a sad expression on his face. "Lily's mad at me." he said sadly and my heart broke.

"Jordan I'm so sorry. I will talk to Lily and she won't be mad at you anymore." I said to him.

"Don't worry Maya, I will talk to Jordan." Lucas said and I hadn't even noticed he had come over to to the table.

I sat my paint brush down and stood up from the table to walk to Lucas "I'm so sorry. I don't know what has gotten into her." I replied and he tilted my chin so that I would look at him.

"It's fine. You go handle Lily and I deal with Jordan. It's a big change for Lily. She's been used to having just you around." he said before kissing me softly on the lips which for some reason immediately put me at ease.

"Sometimes I wonder what I've done to deserve you." I said before I walked off down to Lily's room to go talk to her.

As I was walking into her room and found her on her iPad so I walked over to her bed and grabbed it out of her hands. Even though Lucas was right about the fact that its a change for her I still didn't raise her to act mean like that.

"Mommy, I want my iPad." she whined.

"You're done with the iPad for tonight Liliana." I said and she pouted.  "And enough with pouting. We need to talk."

She looked up at me and scooted over so I could sit down on her bed beside her.  "Okay." was all she said.

I sat down beside her and she looked up at me "You mind telling me why you were so rude to me and Jordan just a minute ago?"
