Two Worlds Collide

Chapter 25

A/N: Apologies in advance to my two friends if this chapter makes them somewhat emotional towards the end.  And with that I'm out. 

Maya POV

Lucas and I loaded the kids up in the car to go Ice Skating. They were very excited about our day out today. It didn't take us long to get the Ice Skating Rink. On the way there I wanted to have a talk with the kids. When we got there the place was pretty packed. We got our skates then walked over to a bench to put them on. Lucas started helping Jordan with his while I helped Lily. 

"Kids, I want you to listen to me for a minute." I said as I finished tying Lily's ice skate lace. 

"What Mommy?" Lily curiously asked. 

"It is very packed here today. There are a lot of people. You need to stay with me and Lucas. Don't go anywhere without us and if someone tries to get you to go somewhere without us scream so we know.." I replied. 

"Daddy always tells me that too Maya. He says never go with someone you don't know." Jordan replied. 

"Your Daddy is very smart." I said with a smile. 

"I promise to stay with you Mommy." Lily said. 

After getting my skates on we started making our way out to the rink. Lucas grabbed my hand and looked at me with a smile "You're so good with them Maya." he said before kissing me on the cheek.

"I got to look out. Can't have someone stealing our babies." I replied back. 

"Jordan when we get to the ice I want you take Daddy's hand before stepping onto it. This is your first time skating and I don't want you to get hurt." Lucas said and Jordan looked up at him. 

"Okay, Daddy." Jordan answered. 

"Has he ever went regular skating before?" I asked Lucas. 

"Yes, he has." Lucas replied. "I have a friend in Texas named Tyler who has a son that is Jordan's age.  Tyler's son Liam had his 5th birthday party at a skating rink. The kids had a blast." 

I turned to look at Jordan "Jordan, it shouldn't take you long to get the the hang of ice skating since you have regular skated before." 

"Will you and Daddy teach me how to ice skate?" Jordan asked. 

"Yep. Lily might even be able to help you out too." I said with a smile.

"Yeah Jordan I can help you. It's easy." Lily replied. 

We made our way out to the rink and when we got there it was a crowded. Lily and I got on the ice and Lucas slowly helped Jordan on there as well. Jordan had a hold of his dads hand and I grabbed a hold of his other free hand so that way he had me and Lucas holding onto him. Lily skated in front of us slowly. 

"Jordan, look at what Lily is doing with her feet. See how she puts one forward?" I said as I looked down at him. 

"Yep, she's a really good ice skater."  he replied. 

"If Maya and Daddy let go of you do you think you could try it by yourself?" Lucas asked him. 

Jordan looked up at Lucas and nodded "Let me try. Don't let me fall Daddy." he replied. 

"We're right here. We won't let you fall." Lucas replied. 

Lucas and I let go of him. Lily came over and grabbed his hand. "Here let me show you," she said. 

"Okay. "Jordan said as he held her hand. 

"Watch how I do it. Put one foot forward" Lily said and Jordan did what she said "Now put the other one forward." 

I watched as Jordan did what Lily said and looked up at Lucas with a smile. "She's a good teacher." 

"She's learned from the best." he said as he leaned into kiss me softly. 

Lily let go of Jordan's hand so he could do it on his own and sure enough he did it. Once he got the hang of it the two continue to skate ahead of us as Lucas and I were behind them. We made our way skating around the rink. We continued to have fun Ice Skating. I even took some pictures in front of the big Christmas tree. We were rounding the corner when a young teenage boy came flying by me and Lucas clearly not watching where he was going. As he skate passed us everything happened so fast that I didn't have time to think. One minute he was flying past us and the next he flew into Lily causing her to fall on the Ice and for him to land on top of her.  My anxiety went through the roof as I skated up to her. 

"LILY!" I yelled as i got her. 

The young boy got off her and looked at up me "I'm so sorry." he said apologetically. 

"MOMMY!" LIly cried. "My arm hurts." 

"Shh baby I'm here." I said as I kneeled down to her. 

Lucas came over to us and helped to sit her up so I could examine her. When she looked at me I realized she had a bloody nose. 

"Mommy I'm bleeding." Lily screamed hysterically. 

"Let me pick her up." Lucas said and he picked her up. 

"I think we need to take her to the ER. Something is wrong with her arm." I said frantically. 

I grabbed a hold of Jordan's hand as we made our way out of the rink. I went into the bathroom to get Lily a paper towel for her nose. I placed the paper towel on her as Lucas held here on his lap. 

"Is Lily okay Maya?" Jordan said with a sad tone in his voice.

"Yes baby I think she will be fine." I replied. 

Once we got the bleeding to stop on her nose. I wiped her face off. It looked like she also had a fat lip. I took her jacket off to look at her arm. When I saw it I could tell it was probably broke. We took our skates off then went out to the car to go to the hospital. I called Caleb and told him what happened.He said that he would meet us there.  This was totally not how I wanted this day to turn out.
