Two Worlds Collide

Chapter 24

Maya POV

Since the kids were still off on Thanksgiving vacation Lucas and I decided we'd have a day out with them and surprise them with going Ice Skating at The Rockefeller Rink we decided to go on Sunday 2 days after Black Friday. Speaking of which Lucas kept both kids for while I went Black Friday shopping with Riley and while out shopping I found some cute winter attire on sale so I bought Lily and Jordan a new jacket as well as snow pants, boots, gloves, and hats. I got some Christmas shopping done which I was happy about. I hid the presents at Lucas's place as he was going to send them to his Mom since we were going to be flying out to Texas to do Christmas there. She was excited about it and said she'd wrap everything. I insisted that I could do it but Lucas fought me on it and said to let her do it so I caved. 

Lucas was worried about how Jordan would do Ice Skating but I reassured him that he would get the hang of it quickly because it didn't take Lily long to learn at all. After getting breakfast i wanted to surprise the kids with their new winter attire. Lucas didn't know that I had bought them yet so it was going to be a surprise to him as well.  

"We're done Mommy." Lily said as she placed her fork on the table. 

"Okay go put your plates in the sink." I replied to her. "After that I want you guys to go into the living room. I have some presents for you." 

Both kids looked at each other and grinned "YAY" they said excitedly at the same time. 

After the kids walked away Lucas looked at me with a questioning look "Presents?" he said to me. 

"You heard me." I said before taking a drink of what was left of my Orange juice. 

I got up from the table and placed my drink in the sink then went into my room to grab the bag out of my closet. When i walked in there I saw Sundance was laying on my bed so I walked over to her and picked her up to pet her real quick. I placed kiss on her little face then put ther back down on my bed. I went and grabbed the bag out of the closet then  walked back out to the living room. Lucas was sitting on the couch still giving me that look and I just ignored him which probably drove him nuts.  Lily and Jordan saw me sit by Lucas and they came over to me. 

"Okay so while Mommy did some shopping with Aunt Riley on Friday I got you guys some things. Most of this you will need for today." 

"What is it Mommy?" Lily curiously asked. 

"Is it a toy?" Jordan asked. 

"Jordan!" Lucas scolded and I looked at him. 

I looked at Lucas and chuckled "He's fine. I would have asked the same thing. " I looked over at the kids as I began to take everything out of the bag. "I got you guys new winter jackets, snow pants, gloves, hats, and boots! The winter jackets, hats,and gloves you can wear today when we go ice skating." 

"Yay ice skating! Thank you Mommy!" Lily said excitedly. 

"Yeah thank you Maya!" Jordan said with a big grin. 

"Maya you really didn't..." Lucas started to say but I cut him off because I knew what he was going to say. 

I"Not a word Huckleberry." I said to him.

"But Maya, I...." he started to say and I glared at him so he stopped. 

"Lily I got you this Anna and Elsa jacket along with light blue snow pants to go with it. Your hat and gloves are purple."  I said as I handed her the things I bought her. "Your boots are purple and black." 

"Thank you Mommy!" she said excitedly. 

"Jordan I got you a light green jacket with grey snow pants, black gloves, and a black hat."  I said with a smile. " I also got you a pair of black and green boots." 

"Thank you so much Maya." he said excitedly "I love them!" 

"Thank's short stack. I appreciate you thinking of Jordan like that." he said and I smiled at him. 

"You're welcome.  I'll be back. I'm going to go get around for Ice Skating fun." I said to him and he smiled at me. 

I grabbed a towel after I undressed and made my into the shower. Once I was done showering I went out to get dressed and just as I dropped my towel onto the ground just as Lucas walked in and he smirked when he saw me naked. At this point I didn't even care if he saw me naked since he'd seen me naked before. I made my way over my dresser to grab a bra and pair of underwear out. 

"Looks like I made perfect timing." he said and as he walked over to me.

I rolled my eyes "Don't even get any ideas in your head. Where are the kids?" I replied as I grabbed a bra and matching undies out of the drawer. 

"The kids are getting dressed. I made Jordan go into Lily's bathroom and get changed while Lily was in her room getting dressed. I told them that after they were done to wait in the living room." 

I put my underwear on then looked up at him, "Good idea." I said to him. 

I slipped my underwear on and then put my bra on. When I was finished I looked up at him and he smiled at me. He grabbed my hand and pulled me towards him closing the gap between our bodies. Before I knew it his lips were on mine and he was kissing me so tenderly. The kiss deepened a little bit then he pulled a way. 

"Thank you for getting Jordan those gifts. You really didn't need to do that." he said to me. 

"I know but I wanted to. I saw they were on sale and couldn't pass them up." I replied. 

"I love you." he said before leaning in and kissing me soflty. 

"I love you too." I replied. 

After Lucas and I got ready to go Ice Skating we went out to the living room to gather the kids. They were so excited about the fun day we were about to have and looked adorable in their jackets. I was excited for today too because it was basically going to be a little family day. I really liked the thought of the four of us being a family. I won't even lie about the fact that I'm secretly hoping that happens.
