Two Worlds Collide

Chapter 49

A/N: doing a time jump. Let me know if I should continue the fic. I've decided I'm going to to do a few more chapters so that I can ended it at the right place. 

Lucas POV

It was the middle of the night when Maya woke me up to tell me that her water broke. To say that I was scared shitless was an understatement. As Maya got dressed I ran into my Mom's room to tell her that Maya's water broke and that she needed to keep the kids. Once I did that I woke up Katy and Shawn who had out a couple of days ago because she wanted to be here for Maya in case she had the twins. After rushing around and getting everything in order so that we could leave I helped Maya to the car and then together with Katy and Shawn following behind us in Maya's car we took off to the hospital. Jayden Lucas and Laekyn Katy were born on October 14th at 4AM via c-section. Jayden weighed 6lbs 5oz and Lakey weighed 5.8oz. They were both very healthy. Even though I had already been through it once with Jordan seeing my babies for the first time was surreal. Jayden was the spitting image of Maya. He has her heart shaped face and has the same facial features that she does where as Lakey looks exactly like me although she has Maya's lips and nose. They couldn't be more perfect. Maya was very tired but she was so happy they were finally here. Maya said that she wanted to breast feed the twins which may not be easy at first but if needed we could switch to bottle feeding.  Katy and Shawn had eventually left to go back to the farm and get some rest leaving it so it was just Maya and I with the twins.  

I looked over to see that Maya was waking up from her nap. She looked up at me with tired eyes and smiled. "How's our smol beans doing?" she asked me. 

I walked over and sat on the edge of the bed so I could be closer to Maya. "They're good Mommy. I think they had a rough night." I said as I pushed the hair out of her face. 

"Yeah I'm glad Daddy's night went pretty smooth so he can do late night feedings while Mommy sleeps." she joked and I chuckled. 

I  leaned over and cupped Mayas cheek before leaning and kissing her softly on the lips. "I'm so proud of you. You're a trooper, you know that?" I said to her and she smiled.  

Just as we pulled away Lakey started stirring in her little bed. I walked over and gently picked her up placing a small kiss on her forehead. "Daddy loves you sweet baby girl." I said to her as I cradled her small body in my arms. I looked up and saw that Maya was looking at me with a big grin on her face. 

"You're going to make my ovaries burst all over again." she said and I chuckled.  

"You've had similar effects on me before but luckily I've had you help fix that problem." I said and she rolled her eyes. 

"I can't with you." she chuckled.

"Here Mommy I think someone is hungry." I relied as I gently handed Lakey to her once she was ready to take her. 

Maya took Lakey from me and gave her a small kiss on her cheek before positioning Lakey on her chest. Lakey latched on right away and began feeding off Maya. It was a bittersweet moment watching that moment. 

Maya POV

Lucas was looking at me with pure joy on his face as he watched Lakey feed off me. I'm so in love with our little smol beans. They are perfect and I can't wait for their brother and sister to meet them. As Lakey was feeding off me Jayden began to stir so Lucas jumped and got him. He was okay for a few minutes before he started wailing. Lucas helped me get Jayden positioned right and then we took Lakey off so that she could be burped. Once Lucas burped her he placed her back down in front of me.  After they were all fed Lucas changed their diapers one at a time. First he did Jayden then after that did Laekyn. He told me wanted to hold Jadyen for a little bit so cuddled with Laeykyn.

"How are Lily and Jordan doing?" I asked as Lucas sat down in the chair beside me. 

"Mom said that they are fine. They're really excited to meet their brother and sister." he answered "I think Mom and Katy are going to be bringing them by soon" 

"Good I'm so excited for them to meet them." I replied. 

"Same. I can't wait to see their little faces." 

"You know Laekyn looks just like Jordan did as a baby." I replied to him.

"I was thinking too and it makes sense because everyone says she looks like me." he answered. "And I think Jayden looks like Lily." 

"I agree. I think they got the best of both of us." I replied. 

Lucas and I sat around admiring the twins. I was so tired but for these two it was so worth it. I was really missing Lily and Jordan but I knew they would be here soon. I ended up nodding off to sleep but eventually woke up due to the noise when the kids got here.

"Hi Mommy." Jordan said when he noticed I was a wake. "Are you doing okay?" 

"Yes, baby I'm fine." I said with a smile. 

"I miss you Mommy." Lily chimed in. 

"I miss you too, Pumpkin." I grinned. 

"Where are Jayden and Lakey?" Jordan asked. 

"Come over here kids. " Lucas waved. 

I watched as Lily and Jordan walked over to him. 

"Oh Jordan they are in here." Lily said as she pointed to the two little beds that sat near Lucas. 

"Can we hold them?" Jordan asked. 

"One a time. Lucas you can place my breast feeding pillow on their lap." I suggested. 

Jordan and Lily were so enthralled in their new siblings. It was so cute watching them talk to the babies. Once they were finished holding them Lucas put each baby back in their bed. We spent a little time with the kids then Lucas's mom and my mom took them back home. After another feeding Lucas and I took another nap. I was exhausted but I wouldn't trade this for anything. My family is now complete.
