Two Worlds Collide

Chapter 47

Maya POV

As I stand here looking at this empty apartment building I think of what I'm leaving behind. All my life I grew up in NYC. Liliana was born and raised in this apartment. It's so bittersweet. Lucas the kids and I are road tripping to Texas. This should be an interesting road trip to say the least having an 7 month pregnant chick, two kids and Lily's kitty Sundance in the car with us. Poor Lucas having to deal with all of this.  We charged the kids iPads, got them a DVD player for in the car and everything. All of our things have been moved to Texas. I was lost in thought when Riley walked in. I looked over at her and she was glowing. She was due at anytime with baby Finley.  I really hated that I was leaving her. She walked up to me and grabbed my hand then pulled me down the hallway to the Bay Window in my bedroom. 

"I'm going to miss you peaches." she said as she wiped tears away. 

"I'm going to miss you too. I feel so bad I wont' be here for Finley's birth like you were there for me when I had Liliana." I sniffled. 

"We will get to down to see you as soon as possible. I already told Farkle that I don't want to go so long without seeing you. Will you  promise me that you will FaceTime me?" \

"I promise, Riles. I love you. Lucas and I can't wait to meet our little nephew. If I could fly I would totally come see you." I replied as I hugged her. 

"He is gong to love his Aunt Peaches." she said with a smile and I couldn't help but chuckle at her saying Aunt Peaches. 

"Aunt Peaches? That's actually kind of cute. I love you Riles." I said to her. 

Riley and I were in the middle of conversation when Lily and Jordan came running into the room.

"Mommy, Lucas says it's almost time to go." she said as she walked over to where we were sitting. 

"Yeah Daddy says after he gets done loading up the car we'll be ready." Jordan said as he walked over and stood beside me. 

"We'll be out soon, baby." I replied as I hugged Jordan tightly.

"You're not leaving just yet. Come here my baby peaches." Riley said as she pulled Lily into a hug. 

"Hi Aunt Riley." she said as she wrapped her arm around Riley's neck. "I'm going to miss you." 

"I'm going to miss you too baby girl. You, your brother, Mommy and Lucas." Riley replied . 

"But you and Mommy can't go a day without talking so I will still get to talk to you and Uncle Farkle." 

Riley chuckled. "That's right baby." 

"Where is Uncle Farkle? I wanted to say bye to him." Lily said sadly. 

"He's right here." Farkle said as he leaned up against the door way. "Come here Munchkin." 

Riley smiled as Lily's face lit up "UNCLE FARKLE!" Lily yelled as she ran over to him.

 Farkle picked her up and threw her in the air causing her to giggle. "Did you really think I was going to not say good-bye to you?" 

Riley reached over and pulled Jordan "You come here too kiddo. I'm going to miss you too." she said with a smile as she hugged Jordan tightly. 

"I will miss you too Aunt Riley." Jordan answered. 

Farkle put Lily down on the ground and then Jordan's eyes lit up "My turn now Uncle Farkle." he said as he took off running to Farkle who picked him up the same way as he did Lily. 

"I'll miss you little man. Next time we see you you'll have to do some fun science stuff with me." Farkle said and Jordan hugged him.

"Yay! That will be so much fun." Jordan said excitedly. 

Farkle put Jordan on the floor and all of us walked out to see if Lucas was ready. Lucas was ready but my mom had stopped into say good-bye as well. I was so happy to see my mom. We planned on stopping at her place before we left but she beat us to it by coming to us instead. Lily and Jordan ran up to her excitedly and she hugged them both.  Riley and Farkle said hello to her and Shawn then they left. Mom walked over to me and I could tell she was trying to not to cry. 

"I love you baby girl. I will be out in October like planned so I can be there to see my new grand-babies. " She said as he hugged me.

"I can't wait Mom. I'm going to miss you." I sniffled. 

"Don't cry baby girl. We might not see each other everyday but we will talk every day." she said with a warm smile. "We'll see each other in two months." 

"Yeah I know. I have a feeling that even though my due date is November 5th that I will end up going early." I chuckled. "I'm glad you will be out in October. I'm sure the kids will be excited to show you their horses." 

"I can't wait to see them. Speaking of the kids. I bought them each a bag of snacks for their long road trip." she replied. 

"It's not a bunch of candy is it?" I replied and she chuckled. 

"Nope. I made sure that it was healthy snacks. There is fruit, veggies, and cheese. Their bags are cooler type bags so it will keep them fresh. I packed them some sandwiches too." she replied. 

"Do you hear that kids? Grammy and Pap have something for you." I said and the kids came running over to us. 

While Mom showed the kids what she got them I walked over to Shawn. He hugged me tightly and kissed me on the forehead. "I love you Dad." I said to him. 

"I love you too Maya. Make sure you keep in touch while you are out there." he replied. 

"I will for sure. I cant' wait for you and Mom to come out in October. You'll love the Farm. The scenery is beautiful for pictures." I said with a smile. 

"I'm looking forward to it. " He replied as he hugged me again. 

After saying goodbye to everyone Mom and Shawn took the kids out to the car to buckle them in. I was looking out the window at the city when Lucas walked up to me and wrapped his arms around me. I turned around to look at him with a smile and and he smiled back at me. 

"Are you okay, Shorstack?" he said to me. 

"Yes, I'm fine. I can't wait to start our life together."  I replied to him. 

"Okay just making sure." he answered. 

I pulled his face to mine and kissed him so softly on the lips. I brushed my tongue along his as we made out for a few seconds before pulling away. 

"I love you. Lets get going." I said with a smile. 

"I love you too. Lets go." he replied and with that Lucas and I locked up the apartment. 

Mom and Shawn had a the kids in their seats with Sundance beside them on the floor. The thing about Lucas's car is it was fairly big so the kids had a lot of room. Mom and Shawn were going to drive my car down in October when they came and then just fly back one way on the way back to NYC. Everything just fell into place. After we said good-bye to Mom and Dad we set our way to our new life in Austin, Texas. I was so excited and emotional at the same time. I was going to miss the city but being with Lucas and our babies was going to be worth it.
