Two Worlds Collide

Chapter 12

A/N: I'm doing a time jump this chapter cause I want to progress the Lucaya relationship. Lol

Maya POV

Everything with Lucas has been going very well. I decided to take the job offer her gave me because I made more money and it has been going great. We have been on several dates and are getting a bit serious. The kids don't have a clue as to what is going on but since Trick or Treat night is tonight we plan to sit them down before hand and talk to them because Lucas and I planned to take the kids together. I was really nervous at how this was going to go.  How would the kids react to it? While the kids played with the Wii I went into my bedroom and called Riley. I really needed to talk to her and I was almost to the point of a panic attack as I dialed the number. She picked up on the second ring. 

(A/N: I'm formatting the phone call differently than normal conversation)

Riley: Hey Peaches! 

Me: Riles, I'm freaking out.

Riley: What's wrong? Do I need to come over?

Me: We are telling the kids about us tonight. What if it doesn't go as planned? 

Riley:  Okay Maya, you need to calm down and breathe. I'll be over. 

Me: Okay. Lucas will be here at 5:00 so make it quick. 

Riley and I hung up then I went out to the living room but on the way out there stopped to check on the kids. They were having a good time playing the Wii. I was going to start getting them ready at 4:45 for Trick or Treating. Riley arrived at my place 20 minutes later and I took her right to my bedroom. Luckily the kids hadn't seen her yet. I closed the door and sat down on the Bay window in my bedroom and she came over and sat down beside me. 

"Maya you need to relax." Riley said as she noticed I was starting to tear up. 

"I'm scared, Riles. I don't know how his son is going to react to it. I think Lily will be just fine. I mean she is kind of familiar with this type of thing because Caleb has been seeing someone since she was 2 years old." 

"Okay first of all, Jordan is a really good kid. He loves Lily and he loves you like a lot. He always is talking about how much fun he has with you. Jordan is going to be just fine with you and Lucas." she said as she wiped a tear off my cheek. "I'm serious stop crying." 

"I guess you are right." I replied as I was starting to calm down now. 

"And in all honesty Lucas really likes you. I don't think he'd break it off with you because of his son that is unless something drastic happened that is." she replied and I smiled at her. 

I let out a breath that I didn't realize I was holding, "Thank you Riles. I just really really like him. I haven't felt this way about anyone before." 

"I know you do. I can tell by the look on your face. I've never seen you this happy." she said I chuckled.  "Get yourself together we need to do their costumes." 

After officially calming myself down Riley and I made our way out of my bedroom. I stopped at Lily's room and saw they were watching a movie. 

"Come on guys time get your costumes on." I said and both of their eyes lit up. 

"Aunt Riley!" Lily said excitedly when she saw Riley standing beside me. 

Lily got off the bed and ran up to Riley who picked her up "Hey baby." Riley said as Lily wrapped her arms around Riley's neck.
