Two Worlds Collide

Chapter 21

Lucas POV

It's currently 6AM on Thanksgiving Morning. Maya is sleeping peacefully in my arms and I'm wide awake because I'm so used to my weekly schedule. Maya looked so beautiful as she lay here with me. Her blonde hair flowing in waves beautifully over her face and onto my chest. The moonlight was still showing through the window and the way it hit her face took my breath away. These last two and a half months have been amazing. I have never felt this way about someone before. I was truly so in love with Maya Hart. She and her daughter have both stolen my heart completely. There are so many things I love about Maya but one of biggest that is very important to me is that she is so good to my son. Jordan adores him so much and who can blame him? Even though it's only been 2.5 months that we have been dating she's truly come into his life and  taken on the Mom role.

I moved Maya's hair out of her face which caused her to stir a little bit so I took the opportunity to try and wake her.

"Wake up my blonde beauty." I whispered as I took my free hand nudged her arm.

"What time is it?" she mumbled.

"A little after 6AM." I answered.

"You better have a good reason for waking me this early, Huckleberry." she mumbled as she nuzzled her head more into my chest.

I chuckled "Sadly, I don't have a good reason for waking you. I know that we had cuddled before bed but I miss you. You looked so beautiful laying in my arms and you were starting to wake up anyways. I couldn't help but think about the fact that Jordan is still asleep and how we would have some time just you and I before he wakes up."

Maya draped one of her legs over me and rolled herself onto me before picking her head up off my chest to look at me. "You're so lucky that I love you because had it been Lily that woke up me up this early she'd be in so much trouble."

Maya laid her head back down on me but never moved off of me. I wrapped my arms around her and smiled, "Hmm, well I'm glad that I can get away with it."

"Don't even get any ideas in that cowboy brain of yours. I'm giving you a pass this time." she answered.

"So are you comfortable laying like this?" I replied to her.

"Yeah, who would have thought that you'd make a great pillow." she answered.

"Jordan used to sleep on me like this when he was a baby." I said to her.

"I wish I knew what that felt like." she replied and I couldn't help but laugh.

"Smart ass." I retorted.

"You love me." she replied.

"You're right, I do."

A few seconds later Maya pulled the covers up over her head and started slithering her way down my body. I was confused at first by what she was doing but then I felt her hands go to the waist band of my boxers and froze in place when I felt her mouth on me. I was certainly not expecting that and it was definitely not my intention for waking her up this morning but I wasn't about to complain. The sun started rising at bout 7AM. Maya and I cuddled in bed for awhile longer just savoring the fact that it was time to ourselves with no kids interrupting.

Maya POV

I think I caught Lucas by surprise this morning. I knew that he didn't wake me up because he wanted to have sex with me. This time it was actually me who wanted it. After cuddling in bed for a little bit I eventually went to get a shower. From the time that it took me get done with the shower and go back into my bedroom the asshole had fell back asleep. I decided since I was up that I'd just go out into the living room and watch TV. I was joined by Jordan about 30 minutes later. I made us both some cinnamon french toast sticks to which we both devoured. After that I went and laid down on the couch. He crawled up onto the couch with me and I snuggled with him while watched Paw Patrol together.

"When I turned 4 years old Daddy let me have a Paw Patrol party for my birthday." Jordan said breaking the silence that filled the room.

"Your Daddy is awesome. When is your birthday?" I asked him as I put my hands through his short dirty blonde hair.

"June 15th." he replied. "It was an awesome party."

"Lily's birthday is January 15th!. What kind of party do you want next year?" I curiously asked.

"Ninja Turtles." he answered rather quickly.

"We'll have to see what we can do. Lily told me she wants to have a My Little Pony birthday party. " I replied.

Jordan lifted his head and looked at me "When I turned 5 I made a wish when I blew my candles out."

"Making wishes is fun." I smiled.

"I wished for Daddy to have a girlfriend so that she could be my Mommy." he said to me and I sat there completely speechless.

"You know I made a wish like that one time? I wished for my mom and Shawn to get together." I said with a smile.

"Your wish came true Maya." he said with a grin.

I grinned at him "Yours kind of did too kiddo because your Daddy met me."

"I hope you will end up being my Mommy." he said to me and my heart melted.

"Never say never. Who knows what the future will bring with me and your Dad. I know that one thing is for certain that I'll never not be in your life. I love you Jordan." I said as I hugged him tightly.

"I love you too Maya. You're the best." he replied.

Jordan and I finished up watching the episode of Paw Patrol and once it ended I switched it over to the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade. We had lots of fun watching the different floats that were in the parade. Lucas ended up joining us at about 10:30. It was really nice to have a morning like this. I've never really had one on one time with Jordan like this. I decided that in the future on days where Lily was at her Dads in the morning that Jordan and I would have one on one time just like we did today. That way it's something we can have as our own little thing.
