Chapter 14

Lucas POV

Maya hadn't been to work in three days. Who can blame her? We hadn't talked since the blow up we had the other night. Jordan was starting ask questions as to why he hadn't seen her in a couple days. I told him that things just didn't work. He was a bit sad over it because he missed her but I felt that this was better for him and that eventually he'd get past the sadness. I had left work and arrived at Zay's on time. When I got there Zay made me go out onto the balcony with him.

"We need to talk." Zay said as he closed the door behind us.

"About what?" I asked as I sat down in one of the chairs that is on his balcony.

"What's going on with you and Maya?" he asked and I looked at him not really wanting to get into it. "Jordan was telling Vanessa that he misses her."

"It's just not going to work out Zay." I replied.

"Why do you say that?" he curiously asked.

"Because Jordan was getting to attached. I don't want him to get hurt. He kept asking about Maya being his Mom." I sighed.

"Lucas, man you got to get your shit together. The kid will be fine."

"You don't understand Zay. I walked into his room and he was sobbing into his pillow." I replied.

"So you be honest with him and tell him you don't know what is going to happen." Zay replied and I looked at him confused.

"What do you mean?"

"What I mean is that you tell him you don't know if she's going to be his Mom. Lucas you don't know how this relationship is going to go and other than Jordan being upset your relationship with her was going great." Zay answered 'Besides if it doesn't work out then it doesn't work out. That doesn't mean you can't be on good terms with Maya. She could still be in his life. You told me how she is with Lily's dad so I bet you she'd do the same with Jordan."

"I don't know if she'll speak to me again Zay."

"Why do you say that?" he asked confused.

"Because I haven't even really given her a reason as to why we broke. In fact I avoided her like the plague and haven't talked to her in three days."

"Man, you need to fix this. You done fucked up, dude." Zay replied. "Besides you really need laid. It's been how long for you?"

I rolled my eyes "Shut up Zay. I guess I'll talk to Maya. I'll try to get a hold of her tomorrow."

"Are you crazy? You're going to go talk to her now. Jordan can stay here for the night. Besides he and Vanessa are currently taking residence in our room watching a movie.

I chuckled "Alright I'll go over to Maya's, Hopefully she will talk to me." I said as I got up off the chair and made my way back inside.

Maya POV

Thank god for my mom and Riley taking Lily for me the past three days. I really needed time to come to terms with the fact that Lucas and I were no longer together. I tried my best to make it so Lily wouldn't know something was wrong. Mom and Riley told me she was fine when they had her. Luckily she was at Caleb's tonight so I didn't have to worry about anything. I knew that I needed to start to face the world even though it was going to be tough. I had at least tonight to try and get my mind on straight. Riley told me that she really thought there was more going on here and that it wasn't because he had found someone else. I was currently laying on the couch crying my eyes out watching a sad romantic movie when there was a knock at the door. I got up off the couch to see who it was not caring that I looked like shit.
