P R O P O S A L
ARYA SAVIER
I can't remember when was, the last time my lungs run out of air
Why was it always like this with Brian?
We'll we remain like this forever? Getting chased by the other girls? Afraid of going into the open just because some of his fans might see us?
I felt his hands squeeze mine tighter. He was also gasping and obviously tired of running so we decided to call it a time out and slipped pass through a small hallway and pressed our backs against the walls trying hard not to be seen, catching our breaths.
We were silent for a while. Letting our lungs keep up with the exhaustion of running.
"We finally managed to lose them didn't we?" Brian started after a while.
I managed a smile. "Yep, they were like bloody hounds hunting our trail!"
He laughed. God How I miss that laugh!
"They look more like a piranhas!"
I hit his shoulder. "What? Don't tell me you sympathize with them?" He raised his brow teasingly.
"Oh shut up Harvard, you and your big head." I rolled my eyes.
We stopped with kidding around when we heard a loud Clang against the stairs. Some kind of circle metal rolled downstairs and came to a stop near our feet. I held Brian's arms in astonishment.
"Oh this silly -
We stared at the little kid with a white dress who I presume was doing an imitation of a small Godess. I almost didn't recognized her with all that make up but her small brown eyes widened with astonishment at the sight of us. Something clicked instantly in my mind.
"Ah! Cristie!"
"It's the stupid Girl!"
We both said at the same time pointing at each other.
"What the heck did you say?!" I frowned at her but she just laughed.
"What the heck is this bro? You snoggling around in our building?" Cristie made an accusing stare at Brian. I saw Brian flushed in return.
"Stupid! We were just-
"Looking around of course!"
"Really? Then why are you two as red as tomatoes?" She stared disbelievingly at us.
Is Brian's sister really an elementary? A kid? Anyway, I decided to change the subject.
"How about you? What's with the get up and horrible make up?" I raised my eyebrow.
"Ah! How mean of you stupid girl! It's obvious isn't it? I'm Aphrodite!"
"Huh?" I stared dumbly at her.
"Pfft..." Brian tried to stop from laughing.
"Hey! I heard that you dumb excuse for a brother!" Cristie scowled at her brother.
Brian looked away.
"We're doing some program! Some booth of the sort. Do you want to check it out?" Cristie's face lit up.
"Sure, I guess so, since we're not doing anything anyway." I shrugged. Brian agreed so I let Cristie lead my hand upstairs. We followed her towards their designated booth and was amazed.
Everyone was so busy. Some were holding flowers, and some were arranging some kind of red carpet on the floor. Some were placing designs.
"What the heck is all this?" I said in wonder.
