ARYA SAVIER

"Congratulations on your win!"

I looked up to see a very happy Jadey. She was wearing a cute pink dress and was her usual excited self.

"What do you mean Jaddey?"

"Oh! I thought you were around on the awarding ceremony for the day's contests last night. The artwork you and Lieutenant worked hard for won 1st place," She sat beside me and tossed me a soda. I gladly accepted it.

"No way! Well that news makes my day," I grinned. It was true. I ended up going home early yesterday because of the little encounter with Claudette. That trouble ended up ruining my first day of intramurals so I intend to have a blast on my second day.

After a lot of thinking and tossing in my bed, I concluded that I shouldn't let Claudette's threats get to me. I should take everything easy.

"Hey Arya? I was wondering..." Jadey's voice seemed to be reluctant to say something so I turned to her and she seemed to have a thoughtful expression on her face. Well that's a first.

"Yes?"

"It's about what happened on the classroom yesterday. I was really bothered on why Claudette targeted you. I mean, why would she? You didn't do anything wrong to her didn't you? Unless..." She finally snapped from her reverie and stared at me with intensity. Her eyes were probing me.

"U-unless what Jadey?" I forced myself to gaze at her directly. I shouldn't give her crazy ideas. Keep it cool Arya.

"Unless you're involved with Brian or Mark..." She said slowly.

Shoot! She got me!

Before I could respond with any proper answers, she laughed; "Sorry, sorry. I guess I'm thinking too much huh? Why would you even be involved on those juniors? And besides if you'd do, you'll tell me right?" Jadey smiled.

I nodded slowly. I wanted to be swallowed by the earth that instant. What will happen if Jadey knew about Brian and me? What the heck am I even saying? It's not like Brian and I are a couple or something. But still...I've been hiding my acquaintance with him from Jadey and Lieu.

Jadey likes Brian. What would happen if she knew the truth? Will my best friend feel betrayed? I can't even begin to think of that possibility. All of a sudden, I realized, I have found a conviction and a final answer.

I should avoid Brian at all cost.

"Arya! Jadey! Where the heck did you two been wandering around? I've been looking around the whole campus for you!" A familiar voice made us gaze at our backs. It was Lieutenant and he was grinning widely he slung his arms around us.

"So...what do you say to a day of pure enjoyment and fun huh?" He chuckled and pulled us three in a group hug.

"Uh-huh! You bet!" We agreed and laughed.

BRIAN CHRISTIAN HARVARD

I was standing on the corridors doing nothing. I just stared down at the festive view of the Intramurals. Anton and the guys were nowhere to be found. They're probably with some chick enjoying the rides and booths or something.

I wonder where I.D girl is right now. Unconsciously, a small smile escaped my lips as I recall how I kept on pestering her yesterday. Man, I could tease her and watch her funny expressions all day.

"Brian"

I glance at the direction of whoever spoke my name. My eyes were startled to see a stunning Claudette in front of me.

"What brings you here Claudette?" I said rather coldly. Maybe because of the last incident.

"Brian, if it's about what happened last time, it's the reason why I'm here. I'm here to apologize about it." She lowered her head and I couldn't help but look at her questioningly.

As I recall, for Claudette to say she was sorry was a big deal to her, but what bothers me is; Is she the same Claudette that I knew before?

"I appreciate that you're apologizing. I guess I could still consider it, but if you also ask me to forgive that pathetic excuse of a boyfriend of yours? Forget it. That will be way pushing my limits." My jaw clenched as I remembered how I wanted to beat that scumbag to a pulp.

Claudette walked towards me. She was just a few inches closer to me, I was taken aback.

"You know, what happened really opened my eyes and I realized that it was stupid for me to let my best friend go. All this time, I've been a total miserable idiot." She stared directly in my eyes and I looked into hers.

"W-what do you want from me Claudette? Tell me honestly"

"I want my best friend back Bri, I want you back in my life"
