ARYA SAVIER

"So... any death wish?" Jadey uttered.

"Nope, I have no plan in dying how bout you Lieu?"

"Uhm...just bring biscuits and coffee at my wake guys," He gulped. We were standing along a lengthy line of people. All were excited to ride "The Octopus" while us three were sweating like hippopotamuses.

I've heard rumors that this ride had the most casualty and highest risks among rides. The Large pink Octopus had 8 arms, each arm supports a circular cart that could fit 3 people. While the Large Octopus spins the carts also spins in its own so literally, we would have extreme disorientation after this ride.

Jadey bought our tickets and we were ushered to our cart. Jadey was on the left, Lieutenant on the middle and me on the right edge. Of course we had a bar we could hold on to, but I still don't feel quite safe about it.

Lieutenant was already doing the sign of the cross and Jadey's wicked grinning didn't helped at all. I gulped and held the bars tightly and hoped with all my might that my sweaty palm would be enough to have a tight grip at the bar.

Other people were already filling in the carts. The age ranges from elementary kids to adults. I swear I even saw Mr. Thompson riding on the cart in front of us. Yikes! And together with another beautiful teacher. Ugh! I hope he doesn't see us!

Unfortunately, it seems like my luck was low that day. Mr. Thompson glance back a bit for no particular reason and glanced again and his eyes grew wide. I just smiled at him to tell him that I recognized him but what he did next surprised us.

He changed his sitting position and kneeled on his seat and completely faced us and the only one keeping him from falling down was his legs which was locked by the bars. What the heck is this crazy teacher doing?! As if the risk was not yet enough, the Octopus started moving.

"Oh! Ms. Savier! I'd like to congratulate you for your win on the competition. I was really right on choosing you and also to trust your instincts to pick Mr. Jerson for the contest!" He yelled since the engine of the Octopus was so loud we couldn't hear anything else.

"MR.THOMPSON! PLEASE SIT DOWN PROPERLY!" All three of us screamed back at him. What he was doing was seriously dangerous! Even the beautiful teacher with him was already struggling and pulling him down.

"WHAT? I CAN'T HEAR YOU!" He even leaned near us to hear. Sh*t! He's going to fall!

By this time, not only the three of us were alarmed by Mr. Thompson's stupid behavior. Everyone was starting to point at him and scream. The operators were starting to panic and ran to the main switch to turn it off. And they did. The ride stopped and we were suspended in mid-air.

"YOU'RE GOING TO FALL IF YOU CONTINUE TO SIT LIKE THAT MR. THOMPSON!" I yelled. I have to stop myself from scolding the idiot teacher.

"OH! This is nothing dear! I'm a gymnast back in my day! Watch!" He said cockily and then...the most unthinkable thing happened.

Mr. Thompson lifted up the bars and the cart, which was suspended in mid-air turned because of Mr. Thompson's moving and they were thrown off. Everybody screamed.

Luckily, the beautiful teacher who was with Mr. Thompson managed

to get a hold of the cart and balanced it just right. But Mr. Thompson wasn't so lucky. He ended up falling a bit, but he managed to grab a piece of iron.

"HELP!" He cried out loud.

By this time, everyone's attention was on the Octopus ride.  People were gasping and staring but no one seemed to care to call for help.
