ARYA SAVIER

Minutes later, I found myself on the infirmary. The nurse kept on applying antiseptics on my wound and Royce was beside me. He says it was necessary for me not to do reckless things again like escaping the infirmary or something. Hell like I would!

Many thoughts were running on my mind. If Royce hadn't come at the right time would Brian do the scolding instead? What would happen? Will Jadey be mad? Will Claudette kill me on the spot? I shiver at the thought of Claudette's murderous glare.

Why Brian went away? Was he jealous? I shook my head at the thought, I shouldn't dare think that he would be jealous. Get your head together Arya, it's not like he likes you or something.

"Hey, are you okay? You didn't hurt your head or something right?" Royce asked worriedly. I could sense it in his voice.

"No, it's nothing." I smiled at him to put him at ease.

"Still Arya, please don't do that again. I don't know what to do if you had fallen down from there," He said quietly.

"Eh-em... Enough about me Royce, so how's your Intramurals going?" I asked changing the subject.

"Huh? Oh uhm...it was pretty good. We won all games against other teams except for blue team. They kind of defeated us in one game so we're having a rematch this afternoon."

"Eh? You're really good at playing why did you lose?" I asked curiously.

"Apparently, the blue team's got a celebrity in their side who keeps on attracting a lot of girls that were so noisy, none of our team was able to concentrate. The blue team appears to be immune to the screams of the girls since those girls were present on their practices." Royce rolled his eyes.

"Celebrity? We don't have a celebrity on our school do we?"

Royced groaned. "I'm talking about Brian Christian Harvard!"

"WHAT?! HE'S PLAYING BASKETBALL?!"

"Shhhh!!! Lower your voices please! Other students are resting on the clinic!" The nurse scolded us, we immediately said we're sorry and stood up to walk out the clinic.

"What's with you? " Royce raised his eyebrows.

"It's nothing, I was just surprised that's all." I lied. I never thought Brian would partake in any games.

"Anyways, why don't you watch our games later on the afternoon? It'll be fun, I'll kick that Brian's ass soon." Royce grinned cockily.

"Uhm...I...uh...would Katherine be there?" I blurted out and instantly regretted it. Royce faced instantly changed.

"Yeah, I guess. She's been there last time so yeah I think she'll be there later." Royce seemed to be awkward about something, I decided not to pry.

"So will you be there too?" Royce smiled at me.

"Uhm...I'll try."

"That's good enough for me. See you at the game airhead," He ruffled my hair and went his way.

"Hey Brian wait up!"

I froze when I heard those words. I was currently walking up the stairs to go back to our classrooms. Is Brian on the corridor to my right? He can't see me now!

"Would you stop bothering me Claudette? Don't you have things to do?!"

I heard their footsteps stopped. It appears that they were arguing. I struggled to myself. Will I turn back so that they won't see me? Or would I stick around to hear more of their conversation?

"I want you back Bri..." Claudette's voice was heard. My heart stopped a beat.

"There was never an "us" Claudette, so stop following me like - Brian was stopped by something. What?

I couldn't help it anymore, I got close to the wall and took a peek. What I saw made my heart break for an unknown reason. Claudette was kissing Brian. I don't know what happened to me but my legs felt like marshmallow.

I ran from that place with small tears from my eyes. I never looked back.

BRIAN CHRISTIAN HARVARD

"What the hell do you think you're doing Claudette?!!" I said in shock, while pushing her away from me. I was clearly annoyed.

"Brian, let's stop the chase. I know you loved me, and now I'm telling you I like you too." She said seriously then she tried to get near me but I stopped her.

I scoffed. "Do you now? Do you really know what it is to be in love Claudette?" I stared at her indifferently.

"Yes! I've been secretly in love with you all these years ever since that -

"Why now? You know how I've felt for you, so why only now? Ah yes, I remember, you were busy flirting with that Mark for the last 3 years and rubbing in my face how stupid I was for being too late and for just letting you go!"

"It was all an act! I was really making you jealous!"

"That's the lamest excuse for breaking my heart over and over again for Three years! Three goddamn years Claudette!!" I pushed her towards the wall. All the anguish, sadness and frustrations bottled up for three years resurfaced and was now evident on my eyes.

"B-Brian...I...I'm sorry. But this is why I came back. I wanted to mend you're broken heart. I want you back." Her voice croaked with fear? With resentment? She never saw me angry before.

"You're too late Claudette. You could never, ever fix the damage you've done..."

And with that. I turned to leave her, for good.

"Can she do it then?"

I stopped on my tracks. "What do you mean?"

"Can that pathetic girlfriend of yours repair the damage I've done?" Claudette's expression changed. She was now pissed off I could tell. Oh, how she's changed through the years.

"She's every way better than you" I said every word with spite.

"Really? So why did she ran away then? Couldn't she take a little bit of a challenge? Or isn't she that confident of your... love?" Claudette raised her eyebrows at me and sneered. She's clearly taunting me.

"Don't test my patience Claudette, believe me, it always runs out when it comes to you" I said darkly.

She scoffed. "For your information? She just saw her Boyfriend kissing me hard. So if I were you? I wouldn't count on her to mend your broken heart. That love of yours? It looks like shit." She flicked her hair then walked out the scene like nothing ever happened.

Damn! Arya saw me kissing another girl. What do I do now?
