James: "Please put him down, (Y/N)!" You were sick of it! Sick of James bloody Potter and his stupid friends. Once again, they were tormenting poor Severus. You didn't absolve him from all guilt in many situations and Severus said something rather cruel to Lily, that much was clear, but James Potter had no right to pull out his wand against Severus, no matter what he had said. If he wanted to defend Lily's honor, he should have stood on his own two feet like a man and handled Severus, you didn't care how much he liked Lily. Also, it should have been between him and Severus, not his entourage of idiots.

James Potter was nothing but a common bully and he deserved to be shown his place. He and his friends thought they were kings when they weren't. You decided to give him a taste of his own medicine, levitating him in the air, even going so far as to pretend to drop him, which sent his friends in a frenzy. Remus seemed to be enjoying it, though. After you felt enough blood had gone to his head, you lowered him to his feet, watching as he stumbled around and fell on top of his friend, Sirius. Looking at them and shaking your head, you turned and left the scene. "Who was that," he said loudly. You heard someone say your name then silence.

Sirius: "I've never seen one like you before." You looked up from your book to see a very handsome man standing in front of your table. You thought it was a nice summer day and you took a trip to Diagon Alley to maybe pick up some treats and a few new quills. Looking behind you, you didn't see anyone behind, so you realized that he must have been talking to you. Closer inspection of him led you to realize that he was Sirius Black, heir of House Black.

Of course you weren't the hugest fan of the Black heads after your mother and Whalberga Black were having tea together and she told you that you were "tall and lanky, nothing much to look at, and an uncultured thing at that. Much to good for my Sirius," in your face. You were embarrassed beyond belief because your friends were standing around you.

"Are you talking to me?" He nodded, taking a seat at you table despite not asking for your permission. "What is a pretty thing like yourself doing in Diagon Alley all alone? You know that's dangerous, right?" You shook your head. "I come to Diagon Alley all the time. It's not like I frequent Knockturn Alley." He chuckled and you couldn't help but think that it was a nice sound. "Well, not anymore. I'll be your escort," he said, getting comfortable. "And if I say no?" He held a hand to his chest like he had been offended. "You would wound me so? Then how will I explain to my mother that I've met the woman of my dreams?" You smiled, standing. "I think you'll find a way. Good day, Mr. Black." He smiled widely, standing when you turned to leave. "So my reputation precedes me." You rolled your eyes. "Don't flatter yourself." With that, you left. "Hard to get, I like it," he called behind you, a blush forming on your face as you felt people staring at you.

Remus: You watched as he sat in his chair. Well, it was your chair, in your spot, but you were a little early to study in the library. Evidently, there was a big test in Potions and Slughorn wasn't going to let you miss it, even though you were sick. Whoever was there looked very tired. Maybe he had been overstudying. You could relate to that.

"Why are you just standing there, (Y/N)?" A friend of yours coming up behind you scared you and you yelped, quickly covering your mouth, not trying to disturb Madame Pince. Whoever the person was leaped to their feet, staring at you. "Sorry," you mouthed, walking towards the table. "I didn't mean to disturb you, this is where I usually sit and I didn't think anyone would be here. I didn't mean to interrupt your studies. I'll just go." You were so embarrassed, making a noise like that in the library!

As you walked, you felt a hand on your elbow, sparks flying up your arm. "No, I'll leave. I was really hiding here from my friends. I sometimes forget that this is a public library and other people use this spot, too." You shook your head rapidly. "How about we share? I mean, if you're hiding from friends, I'm in no position to force you out, it isn't even my spot." He smiled slightly, nodding. "I'm Remus. Remus Lupin." You smiled, clutching your books to your chest. "(Y/F/N) (Y/L/N)." He nodded and the two of you headed to the table and fell into a comfortable silence, studying together.
