"Can't you just take the day off?" Charles asked as he wrapped his arms around my waist.

"I can't, and neither can you." I replied, smiling at him and then pulling away.

He pouted and sighed.

"Fine." He mumbled as I giggled.

We had gotten home from Charles' parents house the day earlier and I finally had to get back to a normal work schedule. Ever since Charles proposed to me, we've been spending every spare moment we had together.

"Charles, I'm leaving!" I called.

"One sec!" He called back.

I waited as he ran from the bedroom and to the front door where I was standing. He slowed down and kissed me.

"I love you." He said.

"I love you too. Now go get ready for work, you're going to be late!" I said, opening the door.

Cindy, my assistant greeted me at the elevator as I walked into the office.

"Good morning Blake." She said.

"Good morning, what are those?" I asked, pointing to the stack of papers she was holding.

"Oh, the papers you said to give to David today."

I nodded as I remembered assigning David an important story that required a lot of paper work.

"I can take them to him, I was just about to stop by his office anyway." I said.

Cindy smiled at me and handed me the papers.

"Thank you." She said.

I smiled at her and made my way to David's office. I walked up to his door and my eyes widened.

He was liplocked with a blonde girl.

I smirked and knocked on his door. I gasped when I saw the blonde girl turn around. It was Shannon.

My shocked expression turned into a wide grin as they both straightened themselves out in a panic.

"Stupid glass doors." He muttered.

I stepped into his office and coughed awkwardly, trying to contain a laugh.

"David, I have some papers for you about the story I assigned." I said.

"Right, right." He quickly replied, trying to sound casual.

I extended my hand with the papers and he slowly walked over to me. Shannon awkwardly shuffled her feet and looked at the ground.

"Guys." I said.

They both looked up at me.

"Are you two... together?"

They both slowly nodded and I smiled.

"Ok." I said as casually as I possibly could.

David took the papers and I turned around and walked out of his office. As soon as I got to my office I quietly squealed in excitement.

Just as I suspected, Shannon was at my door a few minutes later.

"Come in." I said after she knocked on the door.

She quickly walked over to my desk and sat down in a chair.

"I think I need to explain." She said.

I looked up from my laptop and raised my eyebrows.

"You think?" I said.

"Why didn't you tell me?" I continued.

"I- I don't know. I thought you'd be mad because it's a relationship between your employees."

"Shannon, I'm not mad."

"You're not?"

"Of course not!"

She sighed in relief and I smiled.

"You know, I don't say this often... but I ship it." I said.

She rolled her eyes at me and I laughed.

"How long have you been... you know?" I asked.

"A few weeks." She answered.

I nodded for her to continue.

"We were both at the office really late one night. He came over to my desk and we started talking. We got really deep into conversation and he started giving me this look. I asked him what was up and before I knew it he had reached over my desk and kissed me."

I smiled and she continued to give me details of their relationship until she had to go back to her desk.

I spent the rest of my day catching up on work and assigning new assignments to the interns.

I came home to an empty house and flopped down on the couch. I grabbed a bridal magazine and flipped through the pages, thinking of the future.

My thoughts drifted to David and Shannon as I continued to flip through the magazine. 'Will they get married? Will they have children?"

"Alright Blake, you need to slow down." I muttered to myself.

"What's that?" Charles asked.

I looked up to see him standing at the door.

"Oh sorry, I was just talking to myself." I said.

He smiled at me and took his shoes off before he walked over and sat next to me on the couch.

"I love you." He said as he kissed my cheek.

"I love you too." I replied, smiling.

"No, I really love you. Like really really love you. I love you more than anything. I just want to be with you every second and you make me so incredibly happy." He said.

I turned to look at him and sat there speechless for a minute while he just smiled nervously at me.

"I'm sorry, I just really love you." He said quietly.

I smiled at him and intertwined my fingers with his.

"I really really really love you too."
