It has been a day since Klaus left, the wait for his return making me more anxious. We have the meeting scheduled with the wolves tomorrow, Klaus needs to be here.
"His not back yet, uh?" Tyler leans against the frame of the door. I sat on the couch with my laptop resting on my lap.
"Not yet," I tell him.
"Elijah said if his not back soon, he will go looking for him."
"Sounds like Elijah."
"I never thanked you Hayley," he looked me in the eyes, his posture tensed.
"For what?" I asked, raising an eyebrow at him.
"For saving my life, I was so sure I was a goner, so thank you."
"Tyler, your part of my pack," I told him as if that explains everything. He smiled and left.
If we wait it out until Klaus's crazy aunt comes back we can use his mothers blood to kill her, but how does he get that close without cursing me?
I kept trying to find a way around it but I couldn't, I needed Klaus and I needed fresh air. When I was living in the bayou I had freedom, now I felt trapped in this house once again. I would ask Rebekah to take me for a walk but she has already gone to sleep, everyone has. I looked at the clock, it read 12:00pm. I didn't want to sleep, the bad dreams will get to me there. If Klaus were here I would ask him to take them away but he is not. I had to get out of here. I grabbed my coat and closed the door as lightly as I could, since everyone in the house had super earring. I didn't take the car, that would be stupid. Instead I walked, I felt the crisp cool air on my face and felt at home. I walked until I found myself at the bench were I once tried to kill Hope. The lowest moment of my life. I was ready to do it and now the thought hurt. I sat on the bench thinking how much as changed since then. I used to be scared and alone, now I had a family. I knew my place.
"What are you doing here, Wolf?" One of Marcel's men growled. Shit! I had forgotten that werewolves were not allowed to be here. The vampire moved to catch my arm but I was faster, I kicked his leg, hearing bones break. A scream escaped his mouth as he fell to his knees. I grabbed his neck and snapped it then I ran. He would recover soon and would be looking for me. I ran without looking back, my head a fuzzy cloud. I looked back to see I was not being followed and went crashing into a hard back.
"Watch out?" Arms gripped mine to steady me, I knew the voice, it belonged to Marcel. Oh shit!
