Elena and I met for lunch which was after many months of not seeing each other. She and I have become friends over my time here, although I usual stuck to Klaus when we first arrived, Elena was really there for me when he went missing.
She came every day, despite having her own children, to check up on Hope and I and in many ways she was a more of a mother to Hope in that period.
"How are you doing? Have you found anything?" She asked while stirring her tea.
"I've been in Rome for a month, but many say that magic like this is too powerful. They say I could look in Greece, which is were I am heading to next. I just have to talk to Alaric."
Elena laughed, "So the student becomes the master."
I smiled, after Klaus left, I spent a lot of time with Alaric, learning everything he knows. I've read every book in the boarding house and thereafter, everything his late wife Isabel left. I've travelled to Duke and then decided to boarder my horizon.
Hope and I travelled to Africa, in hopes of pursing magic stronger than the hollow there.
It was a month later that we found it a lost cause, although, Hope and I really bonded on the trip.
Two months ago, I went to search in Rome and Hope wanted to stay here. I will admit I was disappointed but I think a certain boy is making her change her mind on mother-daughter bonding trips. It's such a normal reason that I can barely be angry with her.
Hope and Alaric are also really close, she helps him recruit new members to join the school. Kids that need help. Along with these kids came a boy named Landon, who Hope as taken a certain liking too.
Anyway, the one shocking new relationship I have made in my life is Caroline.
She and I have grown really close, because she as become my new travel buddy. Caroline is trying to combat the merge, something her children are forced to endure.
She left to Greece yesterday.

I wondered through the huge school, knowing it at the back of my hand. Klaus and I only visited a few times, but after he left I spent months here.
Alaric met me in the library.
He stood at the door, "No point in looking through them, you already read everything."
I brushed my hands along the books, "I'm just browsing. Have you found anything new to update me on?"
Alaric frowned, "Malvore is still sending monsters, and I believe it may just be stronger than the hollow."
My eyebrow raised, "If we can transfer the magic to it, which is nearly impossible. I won't let Hope be involved in this again."
"I know, we can keep looking. Caroline says she has a lead in Greece. I'm sure the two of you will figure something out."
"Hopefully," I shrugged. "I trust you with my daughter Alaric. Don't let me down."
Before he could reply, Lizzy walked in, "You know, if you're so interested in Greece, you should probably research the one thing it's know for."
The girl was tall, and blonde. Very blonde. She reminded me of Caroline in many ways.
"And what's that?"
Her father looked surprised.
"Greek mythology off course," she gave me a her famous Lizzy Saltzman smile and I had to admit, the girl makes sense.
