Hayley has been spending more time with me lately, in between juggling the Mikaelson brother's off course, we managed to take a day to visit the French quarter and the cemetery the witches seemed to own.
We were seeking ingredients that Sofie would have, however, I feared the witches for the trouble they had once posed on me. Sofie agreed to meet us at the French quarter, luckily.
She handed us the things we need with a sceptical
look on her face.
"Are you guys sure about this?"
I nodded, "I trust, Klaus."
Words I never thought would come out my mouth, even Hayley looked surprised. However, Kol once told me that before Elijah and Freya gave me up to the ancestors, it was Klaus and Hayley that demanded I stay alive.
In the face of that evil, Klaus chose to save my life.
And now, they were other lives at stake. One really, Hope. Hayley may be Klaus's soul, but Hope is his heart and the two work together in making him a better person.

On our way back to the compound, I asked Hayley all the questions I was curious in asking. In our old timeline, she was in love with Elijah.
"What happened between you two?" I asked. I was focusing on the road, as I was driving, yet I didn't miss her fiddling her fingers together.
Hayley bit her lip, "We just stopped, I don't know caring about it other."
I raised an eyebrow, "Hayley, what really happened?" I knew that was not the answer.
"I don't trust Elijah," she finally whispered. "I mean, he is sweet but that red door. Everything behind it. It reminds me of a quote from MacBeth, "look like the innocent flower, but be the serpent under it"."
"So you chose Klaus?" I didn't mean to sound like a bitch, I was just curious.
"Yeah, but there is no lying. Klaus is the dangerous snake, he never pretended to be anything but. What you see is what you get. I like that."
"Me too," I realised. After all, I was with Kol.

We arrived at the compound at noon, it was quiet.
"I'm going to check on Hope," Hayley said. I could see that she missed her baby girl.
"Sure," I gave her a nod then made my way to me room where my husband waited for me. Although, technically, we weren't married in this timeline.
"You look beautiful as always love," he smiled, laying on our bed with a book in his hand.
"Arg, I'm exhausted." I kicked off my shoes and cuddled myself up against him.
He chuckled, placing the book on the nightstand.
"I can see that," he poked my nose with his index finger. I stared up at him, always in awe at how his devilish features constructed such a handsome face. I reach up, to touch him, making sure he was real.
He laughed.
"I think you've spend too much time in the sun, love," he said, before planting a kiss on my cheek.
I hooked my arms around his neck, bring his lips to mine.
Our kids deepened and I felt his weight on top of me.
Someone cleared their throat, and I jumped.
Marcel stood at the door, "I hate to break this up, but Dhalia is here."
"Bloody hell," Kol said.
