The Little Wolf entered the room still in yesterday's clothing. Her hair was sticking out in different directions and her eyes looked heavy much like my own. She held my brothers hand and I felt a pang of jealously. Are they back together?
"Klaus! Elijah remembers!" Hayley told me, excitedly.
"What?" There was only one thing she would be referring to.
"Niklaus," he let go of her hand and pulled me into a hug.
"I am so sorry, brother."
Happiness filled me as I realized how much I truly missed him. My brother and I had ended on neutral terms with me saving him. He had a nasty bite and I knew I would do anything for my family.
"The two of you must leave. Take Hope and go as far away from here. I will fix things with the wolves, get an army and Freya and join you later."
"Bloody hell! I forgot about our sister," I told him then continued.
"Speaking of sisters. I would love to see how Rebekah reacts to all this when you tell her," I almost laughed.

Hours later Klaus and I were on the road. I had a packet of chips in hand and I sat cross legged on the large seat. He seemed out of place today, almost angry.
"So I was thinking," I continued.
"Maybe we should track the other packs, I mean when we do concur your crazy aunt we will have Lucien to deal with."
"Poppycock, Lucien is nothing against me," he smirked, "Now that I know what he is planning." We made light conversation the rest of the journey, talking about our plans and hopes for the future.

When we arrived at Mystic Falls, I became sick to my stomach. Klaus had never been by my side often during my pregnancy the last time but now he was and he became panicked quite quickly the moment I started throwing up. I made him stop the car and managed to get myself out the door before my stomach released its intake. Klaus must have forgotten it was a side effect of pregnancy because he was by my side in moments, pulling my hair out of my face and rambling. I felt better almost immediately after throwing up three times. I rinsed my mouth with water and plucked a bubble gum into my mouth to get rid of the taste.
"Are you okay, love?" Klaus asked once we were back on the road.
"Yeah, I'm fine. Just another glorious side effect of pregnancy."

We approached his old house hours later. Memories came flooding through my head, it had been a long while since I thought about the night Hope was conceived. We drove up the drive way, were broad men in a suits waited for us.
"Good afternoon Mr. Mikaelson," the man opened the door for me while another removed our bags.
"Who are they?" I asked Klaus.
"Just some vampires I compelled to guard you."
"Funny. Seriously, Klaus. Who are they?" When he didn't answer I knew he was exactly that, serious.
"I don't want mouth breathing body guards Klaus!" I crossed my arms over my chest, how dare he?
"Hayley! This is important. This is not New Orleans, this is Mystic Falls and more importantly we are out of our natural course. We don't know what's going to happen next. We no longer have the advantage, so if keeping Hope and you safe means vampire guarding the house, so be it." I knew he was right even though I hated to admit it.
"Whatever." I stopped off.
