We met Rebekah and Davina, who, was chanting as my little sister watched impatiently.
She was never good at waiting.
The Little Wolf shivered beside me, as an icy wind blew. I put my arm around her waist, pulling her closer.
At a very instant, the gates began to open as the dolls head rotated. I remember when I got a witch to place the spell upon the house. The irony of it trapping my sister grew as we entered the house.
Hayley had refused to stay back, despite my begging. As we entered, I felt a chill, and pulled her closer. Perhaps, if I held her close enough the danger would disappear.
Rebekah lead us to the room, however, at the top of the stairs, the witches began to notice us.
"Who are you?" An old lady asked, her voice laced with venom. Her hands outstretched, I knew witches long enough to know that was not good.
Rebekah was the first to start screaming, other witches joined the lady, and soon Davina's screams joined my sisters. I moved before I could think, my first instinct to protect Hayley. I snapped the old ladies neck.
Then Hayley's scream pierced the air, and my blood boiled, almost like her scream was venom pulling my heart out.
Davina managed to chant a spell, despite the pain portrayed on her face.
Going in a blind rage, I snapped more necks, until Hayley stopped screaming. Rebekah and Davina left me to fight the remaining witches as they went to the guarded door, the door that held Freya.
"I don't know if I can wake her," said Davina as she opened the door with a spell.
"Try," my sister begged.
I fought the witches, standing in front of Hayley protectively as I did so. The fact that she was human made me terrified.
Davina and Rebekah disappeared behind the door, finally, the witches that posed a treat where dead, or too injured to fight, and I was drenched in blood.
I turned to Hayley, who, despite her tough nature, ran into my arms.
"It's okay love," I whispered, smoothing her hand.
"I'm just happy you're okay."
We separated as Davina emerged from the door.
"We can't wake her," she said, motioning to Rebekah who carried a sleeping Freya.
My heart lightened at the sight of my older sister. I had grown a bond with her, I never thought possible. I missed her.
Looking at Davina, I knew all we needed now was Kol.
