Bonnie returned with an unconscious girl in her back seat and a very angry looking man.
A very large, angry looking man. The girl's head lay on his lap and his size blocked her body.
"Who's this?" I asked, my brows knit together. I could feel them, increasing with worry.
"This is Zeus, and Zemara," she smiled, her smile said- just go with it, I'm confused too.

The irony of the man's name was not lost upon me. After days of researching Greek Mythology, there is an actual Zeus in my house. Well, technically, the boarding house.
Caroline returned days ago, we used Hope and Elena's blood to do a locator spell. A different kind, one that could trace the Hollows magic.
It would have worked if Hope hadn't tried so hard to help. By her doing magic- the map lit up in flames and the witch fainted. It was delicate magic, she explained after returning to her state of mind.
Now we had to wait three more days until she prepared herself again, and Caroline had to drive five hours to get the herbs.
All because my daughter can't listen to instructions.
When I pointed this out, we had an argument and she locked herself in her room with Landon.

Now, my angry teenage daughter is sitting opposite the angry looking Zeus. She eyed him down, like she could take him with her magic.
But something in him made Hope hold her tongue. With parents like Klaus and I, that wasn't a habit she formed- so I was shocked.
Klaus would be so much better than me at handling a teenager, I was always bad with teenage girls. I never felt the need be the dominate female, because of the alpha status that ran threw my veins. Females, I feel, want friction between each other at times. I know for certain both Rebekah and Caroline did when I first met them.

"So, Zeus, where are you from?" I asked, Bonnie eyes me.
He ignored me, still tenderly stroking the girls arm.
She looked peaceful in sleep, and even more fragile in his arms.
"What are you?" Hope asked rudely. I stared at my daughter in shocked.
"Hope!" I scolded. She ignored me.
"I'm Zeus," Zeus paid little attention to my daughter when he said, "and I wouldn't get on my nerves little tribrid."
That made my skin crawl, how could be possible know that?
"He can smell stuff," Bonnie answered my internal question. Probably because I was slowly moving closer to Hope.
I was starting to think this large man was dangerous. Bonnie didn't look scared, but she did look stiff.

Zemara stirred in her sleep, so peaceful while Hope stared at her. I didn't like the curious look on my daughters face, or the fact that Zeus was staring at her.
"You really should control the kids around here," he finally tells me.
"Sorry?"
"Well I can sense that they are all supernatural, although not the types I would expect. They are the troubling kind."
"What do you mean the troubling kind?"
"Well, you only have vampires, witches and werewolves. Why?"
Hope answered, "That's the only supernatural out there."
Zeus scoffed and mutter something like, "mortals" under his breathe. That's when everything clicked into place.
The name should have given it away, but I now I was sure.
"Hope," I jumped to my feet and moved to protect my daughter, "run."
I told her this, being fully aware that it would be impossible to run from a God.
At times like this, I really wish Klaus was here.
