((This story will be told from a different persons perspective. 18 years after the events of Ragnarok))
I stare intently at my alarm clock. "Don't do it. Don't do it." I whisper. CLLRANG. My alarm goes off as I roll out of bed and turn it off. Looks like I'm not missing the bus because my alarm didn't go off. I quickly run to my closet and grab khakis and a white long sleeve shirt. I quickly bolt to the bathroom and brush my teeth and comb my messy black hair before running down the spiral staircase into the living room. I hear the TV on in the kitchen so I walk over and peek in. I see mom and dad watching the news. "In recent news, some children involved with the Nerus Project have begun showing signs of abnormal hostility." The news lady announces. "That horrible program that the military tried for the betterment of the next generation." I say as mom and dad look at me. "Good morning Malick, how did you sleep?" Mom asks as I fake yawn. "I didn't sleep well at all, I kept dreaming this giant demon man with a stick of licorice was chasing me." I say sarcastically. My dad laughs and takes a sip of coffee. "Licorice is definitely something I fear." He says as my mom hands me a plate of toast and bacon. "I just brushed my teeth, so this will taste really weird with mint toothpaste. Mm, toothpaste flavored bacon, now there's an idea." I remark as she rolls her eyes and goes back to watching TV. I quickly push the bacon and toast into a plastic bag and zip it up. "I'll eat it at school." I say as I walk to my backpack and slide it inside a pocket. "I'm heading to the bus stop!" I shout back as I see them wave slightly, still immersed in the news. I quickly throw my backpack on and walk to the bus stop. After a few minutes the bus pulls around the corner. As it comes to a stop and opens it's doors I quickly climb on. I quickly run to the back of the bus and plop down next to the window. While the bus is moving, and I'm waiting for my friend, a girl sits next to me. "Oh. I'm sorry but that seats kind of reserved." I say with a smile as she looks at me. "I just thought we could talk a little?" She asks with a light smile. No. "Sure" I reply. Damn it. I space out as she talks about music and guys she's been with before "mm-hmm, that's interesting. Oh really?" My same 3 phrases answering everything she asks. "Are you listening?" She asks as I snap by into reality. Nope. "Yea, sorry, just have a lot on my mind." Damn it. I see someone with short curly blonde hair and sunglasses get on the bus. "She's cute." The guy in front of me says. I quickly lean forward. "That's Moxi by the way." I say with a grin as he starts choking and coughing. "Sorry, my friends here." I say to the girl next to me. "Well thanks for listening." She says with a brief smile. I'd rather die. "Anytime." I say as I hear a sigh in the back of my mind. But why? I chuckle as Moxi sits next to me. "What's up bro?" He says as I fist bump him. "Not much, same as usual." I reply as he laughs. "Girls, nothing new, got it." We both laugh as the bus starts moving again. "Hey, who's that?" Moxi asks as I look out the window to where he's looking. I see a guy with long black hair and a black cloak walking down the road. "Cosplayer?" I ask as he laughs. "It's like 92 degrees outside, no sane person would be wearing all that in this temperature. I think they just broke out of the insane asylum down town." Moxi says as I nod. "Sounds reasonable." I reply as he taps my shoulder. "Did you see that some people that were in the Nerus Project have become really violent lately? Weren't you in that project?" Moxi asks as I nod. "Yea, and nothing good can come from having demon and angel energy forced into another living creature. And for what, the safety net to see demons that were previously invisible to us?" I remark as Moxi laughs. "It allows you to run the correct way. So you don't run into the demon." Moxi says with a chuckle before speaking back up. "If you want my opinion, I think they're injecting children with energy so their bodies can acclimate, then train them to fight. The DAHC is always needing new recruits." Moxi says as the guy in front of us speaks up. "My dad works for the DAHC. They rarely even have to fight anymore. Since the treaties with the DAA, humanities been pretty peaceful." He says as the guy next to him speaks up. "Wait I've never heard of the DAA? Who are they?" He says me and Moxi look at each other. I quickly answer. "That's the Demon Angel Alliance, they were formed after Ragnarok to protect the human race from all non-human threats. They still occasionally ask for help from stronger DAHC agents. Moxi laughs. "What's funny?" The other 2 guys and I ask simultaneously. Moxi quickly responds. "This just seems like a heavy exposition you'd get from an older video game. Normally we all talk about stupid things, like what new anime are out, but one summer vacation and now we're talking about the government and demons and angels. Just seems funny to me." Moxi says as he rubs his eye. "Speaking of anime, that new one came out yesterday." I reply as Moxi nods. "Yea, I haven't checked it out, but I hear it's pretty good." Moxi says as I look forward. "What do you guys think so far of 'Attack on Clorox'?" I ask as Moxi laughs. "That title really just feels like a mashup of almost copyrighted titles." Moxi says as we all get quiet for a second. We suddenly stop and look out the window. "Ah, we're at school. Yay." I say as we all stand up.
