A few days go by, laying around at the base. We all heal up nicely, and after the hard fight, our demon blood has made us all stronger. As we all check the C.P.I machine when we're healed, we see how much stronger we because. Lastis went from 221, to 290. Moxi went from 44, to 93. Fallyn went from 83, to 120. Attira went from 80, to 130. I went from 180, to 280. "Shit Malick, you have quick growth." Attira says as I look at Lastis. I see him smiling lightly as he looks at me. "Sir, did this massive growth come from fighting Zalca?" I ask as Lastis nods. "The closer to death you get, yet survive, the larger the growth you'll achieve. We've been growing slowly since we had only 3 people, but now we have 5 very capable fighters, so we can grow much faster." Lastis says as I smile. I hear Moxi snickering behind me. I look back to see him rubbing his face on his jacket. "I just love that we are supplied with really comfy clothing." Moxi says as I stare at him. "That's a little off topic, and a whole lot of random, but I'm not sure what else I would expect from you." I say jokingly as he shrugs. Attira jumps on my back as Moxi lightly punches my shoulder then winks at me. I roll my eyes and try to shake Attira off, but she just giggles and holds on tighter. Fallyn stretches his arm and yawns. "It's getting boring around here, how about we go for that celebration?" Fallyn asks as Lastis sighs then smiles. "Alright, let me make an appeal to Vale. You've all done far more than what was originally asked, so you deserve this." Lastis says as Atirra starts cheering and dancing on my back a little. I can't help from smile at her joyfulness. Moxi does backflips for joy as I laugh and watch. "I'll be right back. I'm going to talk to Vale." Lastis says as I nod. After a few minutes Lastis walks back in. "Alright! We've got the day off!" Lastis says as we all cheer as Lastis smirks and poses heroically. "Good job captain! I always believed in you!" Fallyn says as he lifts Lastis up and carries him to the gate. Attira still refuses to get off my back, she's using the hood of my jacket as a grip, so I take her to the gate. Moxi quickly does a handstand on the gate as activates. As we teleport, I see a club in front of us. We teleported onto a busy street, so immediately, I have to jump up above the traffic and land on the sidewalk. As I look around, I notice it's nighttime. Attira finally gets off my back as the bouncer for the club stares at us. "We're with the DAHC, it's our day off." Fallyn says as the bouncer opens the door for us. I hear a few angry grumbles in the line to get in the club. As we walk in, I see people on a stage singing. A long bar with several bartenders on one wall, and several doors on the other wall. Multiple tables in the center of the room, obviously for enjoying shows. Before I can say anything, Fallyn is already off flirting with girls at a full table. Lastis takes a seat at the bar and starts joking with the bartender like an old friend he hasn't seen in years. Moxi, Attira, and me all sit down and look around in awe. "I've never been to a club before." Attira says. I can barely hear her over the singers. Moxi and I reminisce over simpler times, when we didn't almost die after a single fight. Attira laughs as we joke around and argue over who was always the better fighter. I see Moxi's eyes open wide as a piano starts playing. "That's." Moxi mumbles as he looks to the stage. "I KNOW THIS ANIME OPENING!" He yells as he vaults over the table and jumps all the way to the stage. I chuckle as Moxi starts singing an anime opening. "I must not know this one." I mumble as I listen to Moxi sing a little too well. "I guess he has a hidden talent. Well shit, now I have to find my hidden talent." I mumble as Attira laughs. "I believe you're a better person than Moxi is thought. And good moral compass is much better than being a good singer." Attira says as I laugh. "True, true." I reply as I hear a faint scream. I quickly scan the room. "That scream, it wasn't inside." I whisper to myself as Attira leans in. "Sorry, I didn't hear you." She says, trying not to sound rude. "Oh, it's alright, I just said I need to use the bathroom." I say as she looks around. She quickly points to a door next to the stage. "I think that's the bathroom." She says while smiling. "Ah, I'll see. I will be right back." I say as she nods. I quickly stand up and walk to the stage door. As I walk through, I see a dimly lit hallway. At the end of the hallway is two bathrooms. One for men, one for women. As I start walking that way, I see a door on the right wall. I hear a faint scream from the other side, so I throw the door open. I see a man pinning a woman to a wall, her shirt and pants ripped off. "Hey! What are you doing to her?!" I ask angrily as he looks back to me. "Piss off, kid. You wouldn't understand." He says as I jump down the few stairs into a small puddle. Dirty water splashes onto my pants as he punches the woman and throws her down then turn to me. He stands almost an entire foot taller than me. "Fuck off, brat." He scowls as he pushes me. I barely move and stare into his eyes. "Last chance. Apologize to her and leave." I demand as he laughs. "You want to act like an adult, you can get beat up like an adult." He says as he throws a wide left punch towards me. I put my hand on his shoulder before he even makes it halfway. I smile evilly as I break his shoulder and force him to his knees. As he starts to scream in pain, I cover his mouth. "You sure you don't want to take my offer?" I ask as he nods. "Ah, well too late." I say as I grab him by the throat and lift him off the ground. Laying in a pile of trash next to me is a metal pole. After a few seconds of consideration, I sigh and grab the pole. Use all of my strength to warp the pole and wrap it around his chest then push the ends into the concrete wall behind him. "Have fun." I say as I break his jaw with a swift right hook then check on the woman on the ground. As I roll her over, I see two cracked horns on her forehead. "She's a demon?"
