As I start to turn and run, her spear pierces through my chest. I cough up blood and scream in pain as a overpowering pain overtakes me. Her energy floods my body, paralyzing my movements. God damn it, the difference in our power is unbelievable. I think as I cough up more blood as I hear her sigh on top of me. She leans down beside me and frowns. "Come on. Are you really going to give up this easily? Remember, your strength here is based off of your willpower." She says as she giggles. "Man you really are dep- AGAIN?!" She yells as she rips her spear from my back and points it at a house beside us. "I actually thought he could make a comeback. Guess not." I hear Debra say from my side."But really? Ragnarok fighting a mortal? And you thought that was fair?" She adds as I hear Ragnarok growl. "How are you even here?!" She screams as Debra laughs. "Because I want to, duh." She says as I hear a splat again. I manage to lift myself slightly as a pool of blood slowly rolls over the ground beneath me. Before I can react, an arm wraps around my waist and jumps high into the air. In less than a second I see the world become devoid of light. "What the hell?" I say in confusion as I see a whisp of long red hair in front of my face. As I blink I see I'm in a house sitting at a table. Across the table is the girl with red hair again scratching the back of her head with her eyes closed. "So I really hate that I have to step in, but if you die then my plans get skewed heavily. I really need you for my plan to work." She says putting her feet up on the table and leaning her chair back. "What's your plan? And why me?" I ask as I see my wounds are healed once again. "Well, since Kai is training, I need someone to fend off some unsavory individuals when they show their faces." She says as I shake my head. "But why me? There's a lot of people stronger than me, I'm sure they'd be ok with helping defend against evil?" I ask as she laughs. "Kid, you have enough energy stored inside you to take on the DAHC and DAA almost single handedly." She says as I stare at her. "There has to be strong beings outside of those organizations? My dad for example." I say as she laughs. "Zen?" She asks as she sighs and stands up. "So to be blunt. You have one hundred percent of both your father and mother in you. Azura and Zen both are far beneath you." She says as she looks at me. "No matter what you hear, no matter what lies they will feed you. There is always a limit to how strong you'll get. Whether that limit is low or logic deceivingly high is up to you. Zen has recieved outside assistance, but you have received more." She says as she leans across the table. Her eyes lock with mine for a moment then quickly shift to my left. As I start to look behind me, she jumps over the table and grabs the tip of a spear inches from my face. "You are really getting on my nerves." Ragnarok says as Debra laughs. "Looks like your real colors are shining. What would Clave think?" She says, almost taunting her. Ragnarok's eyes widen for a second as she steps back. "How do you, how. No, there's no way." Ragnarok says as some tears well up in her eyes. "I know what you did." Debra says as Ragnarok clenches her fists. "How?" She whispers while looking at the floor. "How you do know his name?!" She yells as her energy whips and tears the building apart. One strain hits my right arm, instantly turning it to dust. My eyes quickly strain in agony as I throw myself against the wall and grab my shoulder. As I slide down the wall I see Debra not even phased by the energy. "Because I can read you like an open book. I know what you know, or more importantly, I know what you've forgotten." She says as she rears back her fist to punch Ragnarok. "You." Ragnarok says angrily before biting her tongue. "I'm sorry, Clave." She says as Debra punches her head clean off of her shoulders then rips her spine out. As blood drips from her hand she looks to me. "I truly don't need you, but if I want my plan to go off without a hitch I want you to join me." She says as she extends her hand. "D-did you k-kill her?" I say stuttering in pain and intimidation. She stares at me for a second before laughing. "Of course not, she wasn't here in full form. That was a fragment of her soul she sent here." She says as I look at the bloody body. "So just a fragment was that strong?" I ask as she nods. "The fragment she sent was only a little stronger than you are, I was hoping the fear of death would push you to opening your true potential, but it didn't." She says as she stares at the ceiling. "I need to remove your fear to bring out your true strength, but your fear also gives you some of your power. The will to not die." She says as she smiles. "There's something innocent in that sentiment." She says as I look at her confused. "What do you mean?" I ask as she looks at me and laughs. "Well, I've died about 3 times so far. My willpower always just manifests itself and brings me back." She says as she squats in front of me and looks at the blood on her hand. "Or maybe, just maybe, there's someone using me as a pawn." She mumbles as she looks to me. "But as it stands now, I'm in charge. So let's get you stronger." She says as she evaporates the blood on her hand with her energy then pokes my cheek and smiles.
