As I ready the sword in my hands, I see her spin her blade around on her fingertip. "Alright, time to play." She says as I feel a cut go down my back. As I stumble forward I see her wiping my blood off of her sword behind me. That speed. I say as my eyes widen. She laughs from in front of me before my mind can understand she's moved. "Shit!" I yell as she kicks me in the stomach and knocks me back through a wooden wall. "I have to run, there's no way I can face this." I say quietly as I use the dust in the air as slight cover and run deeper into the building. I clutch my ribs while running as a stinging pain creeps from my ribs to my chest. And not only is she fast, she hits incredibly hard. I think as I hide behind some barrels in a corner. I hear soft footsteps creaking against the wood floor as she gets closer. "Awh, is that the best hiding spot you could find when your life is on the line?" She asks as she giggles. Before I can react, her sword pierces the barrel and my shoulder. I yell out in pain as she lifts me up while keeping me pinned against the wall. As she raises me higher, and higher, I slide down on the blade. I scream as her jagged sword rips through my shoulder and collar. I punch her in the face with everything I have, but my hand breaks on impact. I fear tears welling up as she slings me off her blade against the wall. "Really? This is it?" She mumbles as I try to crawl away. I have to get away. I think as I feel myself start panicking. She's too fast, she's too strong, her senses are too keen. I don't stand even the faintest chance. I think as I feel my heart and mind racing. The wound numbing from bloodless as I hear her walking towards me. I hear the dripping as my tears hit the wood floor. "No, please!" I yell as I roll over and push myself with my feet away from her. I feel my body shaking uncontrollably as she squats in front of me and smiles. "Quite pathetic." She says as she rears her blade back and angles it towards me. "I don't want to die!" I close my eyes and yell as I feel liquid hit my body. I grit my teeth and slowly open my teeth to see her splattered against the wall and a woman with red and black robes on. Her left arm has a black and red glove coming up to her elbow. She stands about five foot one inches. "Gross, manifestations always think they're hot shit." She says with a soft voice as she squats in front of me. "That should buy you at least an hour to gather yourself and find a good hiding spot." She says as she touches my shoulder and all my wounds immediately heal. I feel my heart throb heavily as I look into her eyes. "Don't take this the wrong way, but having feelings for me is a horrid mistake." She says as she stands up. I see her blood red hair flowing gently over her shoulder. "I prefer to watch, but events that I don't quite agree with I'll intervene in." She says as I quickly stand up. "What's your name?!" I ask nervously as she looks at me and tilts her head before quickly turning away. "Hmm, for the time being we can just call me. Um. No not that one. Ah I've got it." She says as she puts her fist in her palm and nods. "My name is Debra." She says as she gives me a thumbs up. We both sit in silence for a moment. "That is so obviously a lie that it hurts me physically." I say as she quickly touches my arm and bites her thumb. "Could've sworn I healed you, wounds might've been worse than I thought." She says as she inspects me. "It's a figure of speech." I say as I laugh. She gets flustered and shakes her head. "Of course, sorry don't talk to many people." She says as I pat her shoulder. "If you ever did need someone to talk too I'd be on board." I say with a smile as she laughs. "Man you mortals are something else, although I wouldn't mind a companion some time." She says as I pull my hand back while blushing heavily. "Haha, I'll catch you around Malick. Hey, do me a favor, don't die." She says as she teleports away. As she teleports away, for a fragment of a second, I see long blue hair. "I wonder who that really was." I mumble as I hear a scrape on the wood behind me. As I look back I see a hand forming beside the sword. I quickly run out and through several buildings before pulling up a floorboard and crawling under it, then pulling the board back into place. "Oh. I have an idea." I whisper as I send energy out under several nearby houses. I have to perfectly control my breathing, energy, and mental state. Even the slightest slip up could result in my death. I think as I nod and dig a small hole and cover myself. After an hour of sending out my energy I lower my output to equal the total energy around the town. I hear footsteps running above me and through several houses around me. I have a chance. I just need to play this very carefully. I think as I hear giggling above me. "Four houses down, twenty two left. His energy is scattered far, but it thins out too much past a certain amount. This is becoming a fun game of hide and seek." I hear her say loudly. No, even if I play my cards and situation perfectly, it's still going to be insanely difficult.
