"What happened?" I ask once more while glaring at Vale. "You lost control of your power. You went berserk, ripping the demon apart arm from arm, limb from bloody limb." Vale says while glaring back. "What else did I do?" I ask as I close my eyes and feel a wave of fear wash over me. "You went crazy from the power, you killed all but 3 people in a village a mile behind me. When I arrived you were going ballistic, not able to tell friend from foe. The only person you wouldn't attack was Moxi, the rest of your team was scratched up pretty bad trying to get you to snap out of it." Vale says as I bite my lip and draw blood. I feel a tear roll down my face as my mind scrambles to understand what I did. "So, I killed innocent people?" I ask as Vale sighs. "This is Sheeva's fault. She knew how much energy you absorbed, she shouldn't have let you join a team yet." Vale says as I hear him take a step towards me. As I look forward, I see him teleport to me. He jams his sword into the dirt and puts his hands on my arms. "You're just a kid. I'm sorry you've been thrown into this. I'm taking you back to the main facility to put an inhibitor on you. It will regulate how much energy you can expend at a time." Vale says as I stare at him. A slight stinging sensation from my tears forces me to rub my eyes. Within a few seconds, a white light wraps around us to teleport us. He quickly puts a hand on my shoulder and sighs. "You'll be alright." He says as we appear in a concrete room. As he opens the door and leads me, I see we're back in the original base I got recruited. He leads me down the stairs to floor 6B. "We need to scan you to find out what your dark side did." He says as I look at him. "Dark side?" I ask as he rubs the back of his head. "Well, in simple terms, its all of your negative emotions coming to life and taking over. It greatly amplifies your energy, even after your energy subsides and your consciousness returns." Vale says as I look at the machine. I quickly scan myself, and the number 503 flashes on the screen. "According to Lastis, you're C.P.I was 36 last he checked. The regulator we're going to place inside you will keep your energy output under 300. The energy to break, or overpower, the regulator will be set to 3,000." Vale says as he points to a doctor bed against the wall. As I lay down, he sighs and walks away. A man with a white robe walks over to me and places a finger on my throat. Almost immediately my vision goes black. After what seems like hours of silence and numbness, I hear voices. "You know damn well he wasn't ready. A hunt mission for a first assignment? Are to trying to kill him?!" I hear someone yell as I hear the other person yell back. Several blurry sentences seem to fuse together in a mess of incomprehensible noise. "That's why I didn't want him!" I hear someone yell as I jerk awake sweating profusely and breathing heavily. I see Moxi asleep next to the bed I'm in and Attira staring at me. "He's awake!" She yells as she grabs me and hugs me. I see Moxi jerk awake as Fallyn and Lastis come bolting through a door and run over to me. Fallyn has a scar on his cheek and Lastis has several cuts on his hands. "How are you feeling?" Lastis asks as Fallyn taps my cheek. "Not going to go Bloody Mary and try to kill us again, right man?" Fallyn asks jokingly. "We're so glad you're ok." Moxi says as Attira continues to hold me. "Those wounds, where did they come from?" I ask while staring at everyone. Moxi laughs nervously as Lastis sighs. "I didn't expect you to freeze up like that." He says as I stare at him. "Did I Hur-" I get cut off by Attira squeezing me tighter. "Well Malick, it seems you may be stronger than me now." Moxi says as I sigh and smile lightly. "Don't worry Malick, we wouldn't let Vale put you somewhere else. You're in Last Salvation till death." Fallyn says as I smirk. "Thanks." I say with a deep sigh. "But all those people I killed." I mumble as Lastis laughs. "They were healed. The DAHC has an agreement with a few angels for healing. We also have the alliance of all of heaven and hell, so their souls were also returned to their bodies." Lastis says with a smile. "Really?" I ask with wide eyes and everyone nods. "Have more faith in the DAHC, they will protect the people." Lastis says as I hear footsteps coming towards me. Fallyn steps aside as a man with spikey blonde hair and blue and white armor stare at me. "Malick, you're training starts now. You are a precious resource and we can't just abandon you." The man says as I notice everyone except Attira and I standing at attention. "Thank you for agreeing to personally train us all, General Nixon!" Lastis says as the man turns away and starts walking away. His short white cape attached to his armor flapping as he walks away. "Come, all of you." He demands as he walks out the door. As I roll out of bed, Attira finally let go of me. "You're a strange one." I say while staring at her. "Sorry." She says as she follows Lastis and Fallyn through the door. "Let's go, bro." Moxi says as he pats my back. I nod as we walk beside each other through the door. As I look around I noticed I'm back at the Last Salvation Company outpost. We all walk outside to see Nixon take off his armor and drop it on the ground. Revealing his completely ripped body. His black pants slide down a bit revealing a defined V line. I look at Attira to see if she's being creepy, but she's only holding her knife looking determined. I will get stronger. I won't lose myself again.
