A Mission on A Day Off

The woman opens her eyes a little and starts to scream. As I cover her mouth, she starts crying. "Don't worry, I won't hurt you. I'm here to help." I say as I hear the man pinned to the wall with the broken shoulder and jaw start crying. "Shut up. Don't be a big bitch. I've had holes punched through me." I say glaring at him. "And after what you were trying to do, you have no right to cry." I growl at him as he tries his best to keep his composure to not anger me further. "Miss, stay here. My friends will be able to help you." I say as she stares at me scared, then nods. I quickly run back inside. If she's a demon, how did that guy overpower her? Especially since she has to be a pureblood. I think to myself as I grab Attira and Lastis. "What's going on?" Lastis asks as I lead them to the alley. I see my jacket folded and set on a metal railing. "Shit, where did she go?" I mumble as I quickly look around. "Who?" Attira and Lastis both ask as I look at them. "There was a demon woman here. And this sick creep was trying to force himself on her." I say as I point to the man against the wall. "You killed him?" Attira asked concerned. "What, no?! I just hurt him and pinned him to the wall so he couldn't do anything else." I say as Attira points to her neck then him. I quickly look closer to see blood covering his entire redshirt. Half of his throat is missing. "Well, either way we have to chase her down. Because she killed a human, that's not good." Lastis says as he quickly taps my shoulder. "Get Moxi and Fallyn, Attira and I will walk around and try to find her. Moxi is singing, and Fallyn should be in room 5." Lastis says as I nod as run back inside quickly. I quickly find room 5 and throw the door open. I see Fallyn in a bed with 3 women. They are all shirtless, so I blush slightly and look away. "Put some damn clothes on! We have a mission!" I yell as I slam the door and run to the stage. "Moxi, we have to go." I say as he stares at me. "Why?" he asks as I shake my head. "No time, just come on bro, it's serious!" I say as he nods. "I'm sorry ladies! I will come back for you!" I hear Fallyn yell behind us. He quickly runs to me. "Alright, what's the mission?" He asks as I wave for them to follow me. We all quickly run out the backdoor and catch up with Attira and Lastis. "Captain, what's going on?" Fallyn asks as Lastis sighs. "A demon woman killed a man." He says as Fallyn sighs. "Get on it Fallyn." Lastis says as Fallyn coughs slightly. "Yes sir." Fallyn says sarcastically as he runs full speed directly ahead. "Where's he going?" Moxi asks as Lastis quickly replies. "Fallyn has the ability to see energy trails. How do you think he knew Zalca was in the gas station?" Fallyn suddenly makes a left after several blocks and runs down an alleyway. "There." He whispers as he points to an open window 4 stories off the ground. Lastis, Fallyn, then Attira all jump up the window. Moxi and I look at each other then we shrug. Moxi gives me a boost as I jump up. As I crawl into the window, I offer my hand to help Moxi in. We all quickly resume following Fallyn up to the roof. We jump rooftop to rooftop following the energy trail. We follow the energy for several minutes and into an abandoned warehouse. As we walk in, we see a woman in only a bra and underwear laying on an old couch. "What is your name?" Lastis asks as she jolts awake and hides behind the couch. I quickly step forward. "We don't have any weapons on us. We won't hurt you." I say trying to get her to come out. "Why are you hiding here?" I ask as she shakes her head. "My master will kill all of us. For interfering with his plan, you'll die. I didn't want you getting any more involved after trying to help me." She says as I look at Lastis. "What do we do?" I ask as he takes a few steps forward. "Where is your master? Who is your master?" He asks as she quickly stands up and gets against the far wall. A shadow is cast from behind us as the lights turn on. I look over my shoulder too see a man with a can and short grey hair. "Oh my, oh my. I get to eat so much more tonight. But your failure will cost you, Suzi." The man says as we all look at him. "And who may you be?" Lastis asks as I quickly grab a metal pole from the wall and get ready. "My name? How rude to ask without introducing yourself first?" He says as Suzi speaks up. "His name is Malar." As the words leave her mouth, his cane transforms into a sword. "Now I have to kill you." Malar says in a harsh tone as Lastis laughs. "Who would've thought that you would still be alive. The DAHC had marked you as dead. Guess you're craftier than you lead on." Lastis says as Malar jumps towards us quickly. I slide in front of him quickly and hammer the pole down against his head. As the pole bends and warps, Malar hits the ground. "You brat." He growls as I quickly stomp towards him. He rolls out of the way but gets kicked in the head by Attira. As a chunk of his head goes flying, he screams in pain. "Shit, he is much weaker than Zalca." Moxi says while keeping Malar pinned to the ground with his foot. As Malar starts to swing towards Moxi's legs with his sword, I jam the bent pole into his shoulder. He yells as I glare at him. He suddenly smirks as I hear Suzi yell. "Move!" I get pushed out of the way as something rips her in half. As I hit the ground, I see the top of the warehouse has been ripped open. I stare at Suzi's torn body in shock as blood pools up all over the hard-concrete floor. She slowly looks up at me and smiles. Her lips move, but it's not until after she collapses back to the floor, they register in my brain. "Thank you."
