"So how quickly would we grow stronger if we kept getting into difficult fights?" Fallyn asks as Sinneth bites on his thumb fingernail slightly. "Well you all have decent growth capabilities, Malick, in particular, grows exponentially quicker than most." Sinneth says as Moxi chuckles. "Obviously because you're a protagonist in someone's fucked up story." Moxi says as I roll my eyes. "But the problem isn't how quickly you'll grow from fighting stronger beings, it's finding ever more powerful beings to fight." Sinneth says as Lastis laughs. "Well, finding stronger beings isn't that difficult actually. If we truly want to train, we just need a guide to help us get through dimensional walls. Don't forget, there are trillions of different dimensions and realities in our plane of existence. As long as we can convince one of the stronger DAA members to take us, we should be able to go hunting for stronger beings in different dimensions. The hardest part won't be convincing the DAA, it will be trying to get permission from Sheeva." Lastis says as Moxi and I look at each other. "Sheeva? Why would she have to get involved?" I ask as Lastis looks at us. "Well, she is in charge of the DAHC. Also considering that we barely have established a connection with 10 or so other realities, it would be wise not to step into the middle of a war or worse yet do something to provoke an entire universe." Lastis says as Sinneth sighs. "But we aren't on the best of conditions with a few of those other dimensions." Sinneth says as he starts typing once more. "What do you mean?" Attira asks as he continues to type. "Well, we did wage war a few years ago against the Techian race, we lost horribly and surrendered in only 10 days after starting. No civilians on the planet know of it, due to the coverup claiming they died defending the planet from a massive threat." Sinneth says as Fallyn laughs. "So Techians are very powerful?" He asks as Sinneth nods. "Each Techian is equal to a first release demon, by what I heard. Even the weak Techians could overpower our soldiers. We never even saw their leader on the battlefield, we can only imagine how powerful they are." Sinneth says as Lastis walks out of the room. "Maybe one day we can go to different realities. Dimension jumping sounds like a blast." Fallyn says as he tightens his fist and smiles. After a few minutes of Fallyn rambling about wanting to get stronger, Lastis walks back into the room with a sheet of paper. "We do still have assignments to complete. This assignment is fairly simple, so we should be able to complete it quickly." Lastis says as he sets the paper down on a bed. Sinneth stands up and reviews it for a second. "To accomplish this efficiently, I'd say we split up. I should be able to handle this mostly by myself, but that would be tedious and boring. I recommend that Fallyn come with me, and the rest of you do the other half." Sinneth says as I look at the paper. I t describes the incident as a group of angels and demons being hired to rob a bank. It's split into two separate tasks. "Find a group of hired mercenaries that assisted in a bank robbery. Also, we need to find the man who hired them." I mumble as Sinneth thinks to himself. "You all get going to find the mercenaries, Fallyn and I will track down who hired them." Sinneth says as Lastis leads us to the gate. "Good thing it took place in a decently large city, I was afraid that we'd get done too quickly." Moxi says sarcastically as we are teleported in front of a bank. The bright sunlight floods my eyes from above as I see cars go whizzing by. "Lastis, why do we have to investigate human issues like this? I'd rather just go hunting for demons and angels." Attira whines as Lastis sighs. "It was supposedly a group of angels and demon mercenaries that committed the robbery." Lastis says as Moxi looks at a massive chunk of brick missing from the bank's exterior wall. "But how did we know that someone hired them? Where did that knowledge come from?" Moxi asks as Lastis sighs. "We don't question our missions, we just do as we're told." Lastis says as I sigh. "I could disagree with that from some moral standpoints." I mumble as Lastis nods. "I don't agree with everything I've done, but a mission is a mission." Lastis says as we walk into the bank. As we walk in, a strong smell of decay and rot hits my nose. I quickly cover my nose and mouth with my shirt as I see blood splattered all over the walls. Handprints stain the ceiling with blood and trails leading to the back further cement the tragedy that occurred. "How many people were killed?" I ask as Lastis sighs. "So, you didn't fully read the report. 27 people were killed, only 1 person made it out alive." Lastis says as Moxi looks at marble pillars that were cut in half. "Who survived?" Moxi asks as Lastis looks at cut marks in the tile floor for a moment before replying. "An older woman, a widow named Rozaria Tesexia. She slipped out through the bathroom window while the rest of the bank was being slaughtered, but you should know that since I saw you looking over the report carefully." Lastis says as Moxi punches a marble pillar that's still standing. A small chunk gets knocked out of the pillar as Moxi looks at his hand. "The report said that these 'mercenaries' each would have had an estimated C.P.I of 100 to 200. That is false." Moxi says as he walks around and looks at the different style cuts in the ground, metal counter, glass windows, and tile floor. "It's also been bugging me." Moxi says as he walks over the bank vault door, which has been ripped off its hinges. "Why only take a few thousand dollars? I don't mean to sound rude, but I could carry more than a thousand ammo by myself, and we're supposed to think that this is an entire group? It just doesn't feel right." Moxi says as Lastis slowly looks around the room.
