The rise and fall of yoully

Later that night

Lilly:

Me and Yousef decided that Arial was going to stay with me tonight because let's be honest he didn't know the first thing about two year olds and I have a little experience with my nephews. Marie gave us three days to find a house, tell our parents, and move in together. I'm nervous but whenever I look at Arial I knew I made the right decision. I love this girl more than anything in this world and would do anything for her. But at the moment I'm a little frustrated. I didn't know so much things in my apartment aren't children safe! For instance my stairs are medal and Arial seems to love the fact that she can run up and down them. I'm just waiting for her to start crying, I know she'll trip and will hurt herself but I can't get her to stop! I messaged Yousef and asked him to buy me those gates they use to block off the stairs, I mean I would go get them myself but I just got back from the store and I can't leave again. There so much work to do around here but I'm not going to do half of it because I'll be leaving again in a few days and living with Yousef. Just then there was a knock at the door. I go answer it and see it was Yousef.

Y: "hey beautiful"

L: "did you bring it"?

Y: "yea, you want me to set it up"?

L: "no I got it. Thanks though."

I was about to close the door when he said "how are you planning on keeping Arial distracted while you work"? Ugh he was right! Fuck! I wanted him to leave but damn it there was no way I can work and keep Arial distracted. "Fine, come on in".

Yousef:

I knew Lilly wanted me to leave but I just couldn't and it's not that I don't trust her to be alone with Arial but I can't leave Arial. I feel protective over her and Lilly. As I walked into Lilly's apartment I see Arial running up and down the medal stairs but when she saw me she came running to me. "Hi angle, did you miss me already" I said. Her reply was "yes, don't leave again please". I picked her up and hugged her and looked at Lilly who had tears on her face. This girl thinks we might leave her like her parents did. "I promise to never leave princess. Okay?" I said as I put her down "okay" she said. "So what do you want to do? Watch a movie or play a game? Anything you want and we'll do it" I said. "Let's watch frozen" she said. "Frozen it is"

While Arial was watching frozen and Lilly was struggling trying to put on the gate, I made dinner. I'm no chef but I know how to make some good fried rice and veggies. I set the table and then went over to Arial and asked her to wash her hands so she can eat. Then I went to Lilly, took the gate from her, even though she was saying she could do it, and installed it. I had to install one for muffin and dollar when they were really young because also feared they miss a step and would tumble down. "There it's all set up, now go wash up so we can all have dinner together" I said. "You're not the boss of me" she said and walked away into her room.

Lilly:

God why was I acting like a teenager? It's just whenever he's around me I can't think right. Plus Arial asking him to never leave left me vulnerable. I walked into my room, closed the door, and leaned against it. God I know you have your reasons for bringing us together again but I can't take another heart break like last time. I washed up really fast because I knew Arial was hungry and she wouldn't eat until we were all at the table. I left my room and saw my dining table set and there were even candles, wow I'm impressed Yousef. I didn't say that out loud though. I went to Yousef and Arial and Yousef gets up and pulls my chair for me and allows me to sit down before pushing it back in. wow who is this guy and what happened to Yousef. As we were about to start eating I realized Arial was looking at us weird.

L: "is something wrong honey"?

A: "we didn't pray so we can thank god"

Me and Yousef look at each other. I know he believes in god, and I do a little but we each came from a culture where we would go to the mosque or temple to thank god for all he's giving us. But Arial isn't Hindu nor is she Muslim, she's a catholic and we can't change that about her.

Y: "you're right! I was so hungry I forgot. Okay let's all pray"

And with that we all prayed.

*bedtime*

Lilly:

Yousef was about to leave when Arial started crying. Neither of us knew what we did wrong but we were both trying to comfort her.

Y: "what's wrong angle? Are you in pain? Do you want something?"

A: "don't leave me please"

Y: "you don't want me to go home"

A: "no. mommy and daddy left and never came back"'

I felt my tears rolling down my face and looked at Yousef.

L: "stay"

Y: "really"

L: "Yeah, you can get the couch"

Y: "I'll take it. Come on Arial me and Lilly are going to put you to bed"

Yousef and me lay there next too Arial in the guest bedroom. Yousef was reading her a book and I knew she was about to fall asleep. After two more pages and she was knocked out. Me and Yousef quietly left the room and went to the living room. He sat on the couch and covered his face with his hands, I sat down next to him and put my hand on his thigh.

Y: "I thought she didn't know what happened to her parents but she's smarter then she looks."

L: "I know. She'll be fine Yousef. I have this feeling. She just needs us to fill in her parents spots for a while and she'll be back to normal, just you watch"

Y: "I know but it's not fair. She's so young! She did nothing wrong to deserve all this"

L: "I know Yousef, I do. And I agree with you, but god has a plan for everyone. Come on you've had a long day, I'll bring you a blanket"

I got up went to my room got a blanket for him and handed it him. When I handed it to him our hands touched each other and sent this shock through me. I immediately pulled my hand away and ran back to my room. God I need to keep my emotions in check. One minute I hate him and the next I like him.

Yousef:

I knew Lilly felt what I felt but I let her run away. I will get her to confess her feelings for me again. I feel asleep on the couch but after what seemed like 15 minutes I heard muffled crying. Thinking it was Arial I jumped up and ran to her room but she was sound asleep. So it must be the only other person in this apartment. I knock Lilly's door and open it. She has her head buried into her pillow crying. I go sit next to her and put my hand on her head. She jumps up and looks at me with puffy red eyes.

Y: "what wrong?"

L: "nothing, I'm fine."

Y: "Lilly please don't lie"

L: "fine. I was crying over Alex and Lauren and Arial"

Y: "Lilly it's going to be fine, just like you said"

L: "I know, I know but still it hurts to know that I'll never see them again"

Y: "I know babe, I felt the same way. But they left us a part of them and it's our job to look after her"

L: "I will never let anything harm her."

Y: "and I'll help you. Now get some sleep we have a long day tomorrow"

I was about to leave when she said "Yousef, don't go" she scooted over to the right side of the bed and said "you can sleep here, that couch is not comfortable and it'll make your neck hurt"

Y: "you sure?"

L: "yes nothing is going to happen between us, we're just sleeping. And honestly I don't think I'll fall asleep if I'm alone"

Y: "okay" I said and got into bed with Lilly.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh hope you guys enjoyed!! this chapter took me longer then expected, so this might be the only one i post today. sowwy. :( but I can honestly say this is my favorite chapter by far!
