The rise and fall of yoully

*PRANK*

Lilly:

I know Yousef asked me to take the day off but I really had to reply to these two/three emails, maybe four. Yousef thought I took these breaks every time we finished a mile because my feet hurt, which they did but at the same time I wanted my mailbox to be empty so I can relax. I know the reason Yousef asked me to take the day off is because he knows how much I overwork myself, and he hates seeing me tired and stressed. I promise once I send this email I won't do any more work, well unless I get bored later tonight.

Just as I was about to hit send on the last email and get back to the hike, Yousef came up to me and said "hey babe, can you take a picture for me so I could post it on insta?" and handed me his phone. "sure" I said and took the phone from him. Yousef went and stood near the edge of the cliff and while he was positioning himself in the right spot I flipped the camera so I can take some selfies of myself, who wouldn't want my silly picture in their camera roll? Anyway, when Yousef finally chose his spot I snapped a few pictures and said "done". "all right now can you make sure that all the sky and nature behind me is in the frame? I'm going to back up so it seems like I'm really close to the edge" he said as he started backing up. I was to focused on trying to get everything in frame that I didn't realize how close Yousef was to the edge. Just as I was about to tell him to be careful Yousef fell off the cliff. "YOUSEF!!! YOUSEF!! NO!!!! SOMEONE PLEASE HELP HIM!" I yelled as I rushed to the edge of the cliff. I felt the whole world stop and my heart was racing. God please, I can't lose him, I just got him back. I ran to the edge of the cliff scared about what I might see, I had tears in my eyes which blurred up my vision. When I finally got the courage, and looked down, I saw a smiling Yousef looking up at me. he was holding on to a branch that stuck out from the mountain.

"ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME! SERIOUSLY YOUSEF!" I yelled at him. "got you" he laughed. AHHHHHHHH!! This man will be the death of me! "I fucking hate you" I said as he climbed back up, I threw his phone at him and walked away trying to get as far away from him as possible. My heart literally stopped when I saw him fall and it turned out to be a prank!

Y: "I just wanted to get your adrenaline pumping through you so you'd stop complaining and we'd finally finish this hike"

L: "don't talk to me, matter of fact don't even come near me. I don't want to hear it"

Y: "Lilly please, I'm sorry. I didn't think this fully through, I'm sorry"

L: "sorry? Yousef, would you have liked it if I just did that little prank on you? How would you like seeing me fall off a cliff and think you just lost me?"

Y: "but you didn't lose me. I'm perfectly fine"

L: "fuck you. Get out of my way, let me finish this damn hike"

Y: "Lils please, I'm sorry"

L: "I said I don't want to hear it. don't talk to me"

Y: "Lilly...."

L: "NO!" I said and walked away.

Yousef:

Damn it Yousef why can't you do anything right! I swear I didn't mean to hurt Lilly in anyway, if only she'd listen to me. even if she listens to me, she'd still be mad. I knew the prank would be a harsh prank and I knew she hates pranks but me being the dumbass I am had to prank her. I caused her pain just by trying to get her adrenaline rushing. She told me she couldn't finish the whole trail, but did I listen? NO! I wanted her to love the trail so we'd come here often but that's not who she is. I was trying to force her to like something I like and that was wrong of me. how am I supposed to make it up to her now? I'm sorry Lils, I really am.

Lilly:

I haven't said a word to anyone, all I can think about is what my life would've been like had I lost Yousef. The scene of him falling off the cliff keeps replaying over and over in my head and I can't seem to stop it. my heart is still racing and all I want to do is curl up in a corner and cry my eyes out. I thought I lost him, I really thought he was gone. No more Yousef.... I don't think I'd can survive. And before you start I know I survived 5 years without him but I knew that he was safe and happy in New jersey. I can't live without this fool. Yousef why do you do stupid shit and make me hate you? Why?

*After the hike*

Lilly:

Can someone please tell me why I agreed to go shopping after an 18-mile hike? Yousef's family is so damn fit, damn them and their healthy life style. I swear me and Tina were dragging behind Yousef's sister-in-law's and his mom. We completed the same hike at the same time and I have no energy yet they seem like they can shop till they drop, if they ever drop. Man, I need to get my ish together.

L: "how are they not tired? My legs are about to give up on me soon, I swear"

T: "girl I don't know but thank god they aren't my in-laws"

L: "I wonder if they visit here often, and if they do will I be forced to hike again?"

T: "I thought you wanted to hike to get to know your brother in-laws better"

L: "that was the idea but instead my husband pranks me by falling off damn cliff. I swear I just choke him"

T: "don't be so harsh on him, he was only trying to help you so you'd finish the hike"

L: "who's side are you on?"

T: "yours duh but I feel bad for him. He seemed really sad that he hurt you"

L: "as he should be"

T: "cut him some slack. He had good intentions"

L: "you are so on his side. Is he paying you to try and convince me to forgive him? If you tell the truth ill double how much he's paying"

T: "WHAT? He's not paying me I swear"

L: "imagine if your husband fell off a cliff what would you do?"

T: "id probably faint"

L: "I swear my heart stopped and I couldn't stop shaking"

T: "when you finally caught up with us I knew something happened. All the color was drained from your face and you looked like you were about to cry"

L: "I really wanted to turn back around but we were so close to the top"

T: "that view was amazing"

L: "I've never seen the Hollywood sign up close, I mean I see it from my car but when I used to live here I never had time"

T: "you overwork yourself"

L: "your starting to sound like Yousef"

T: "well its true"

L: "Tina, I was so scared. I thought I lost him"

T: "but you didn't"

L: "I can't lose him, I want him, no I need him"

T: "you love him......."

L: "OH MY GOD! I DO LOVE HIM"

T: "Lilly people who get married usually love each other"

L: "I love Yousef..."
