"Music, once admitted to the soul, becomes a sort of spirit, and never dies."

― Edward Bulwer-Lytton

Music is such a powerful thing, magical even. The amount of emotions it can stir within oneself is astonishing yet can be startling at the same time. It's mind blowing how one person can change your life just by lyrics they've simply written down on a piece of paper, or by strumming a guitar and hitting that perfect note that sends chills down your spine. That one song that strikes a chord within your soul and suddenly you realize this song was meant for you, meant for you to hear and take away that message at that point in your life. You don't know why that tune and those particular notes are so pleasing to your ear, but you don't question it. There's this overwhelming feeling that you quite literally cannot put into words because there isn't a single word in the English dictionary that truly describes that moment. Spiritual, Ethereal, Celestial, Sexual, all of the above. In the beginning I never understood why I gravitated towards his music so much, or him for that matter. However, from that first note I knew he somehow would be in my life for the rest of my life. I was his, whether or not he was mine.
