Chapter 44

Vanessa's POV

I get a call from Mal and I can tell that she's really excited because she's talking really fast and I can barely understand a word that she's saying I laugh. "Mal take a deep breath and slow down so I can understand you." She takes a breath "I'm going on a lockdown with Zak." No wonder why she was so excited being locked down with Zak is something that she always wanted to do. I knew by Zak letting her go with him on a lockdown just how much he really loved her he went in the zone when he was preparing for an investigation Zak didn't ask anyone to come with him this would be something new for the two of them to experience together I had done my fair share of investigating before Kevin and I got married and I knew that sometimes investigations could either tear you apart or bring you together and make you stronger Zak and Mal would come out stronger. Zak and Mal would come out the next morning stronger together "I actually have some exciting news myself." "What is it?" "Kev and the guys are going to start their next tour soon and I'm going with them there's going to be a Vegas show so you and Zak should come." She lets out a short scream "That's great I can't wait to see you again Zak and I will be there front row I promise." We talk then hang up and I laugh at the thought of Zak at a Backstreet Boys concert.

Aaron's POV

I hear Mal let out a sigh as she walks in my house to start learning how to use some of the cameras we use during some episodes "I don't understand Aaron it's like Zak is training me I have a day with you, Audio and equipment with Jay and Billy he wants me to meet with a priest and set aside a day with him for nature and meditation." I know that she was frustrated by everything Zak wanted her to do but I also understood Zak's reasons for what he was doing. "Mal Zak just wants you to be safe when you go on a lockdown with us we are friends and I agree with Zak you should know the equipment and you should have your own way of preparing for lockdowns." She nods her head "You're right let's get started teach me how to work the cameras." I show her the cameras and go through the steps of how to run them and set up our tripods the cameras stand on during filming by the end of the day Mallory knows how to run all of the cameras including night vision she leans back and rubs her head with her hands. "Headache?" She nods and looks at me "Yeah this is a lot to take in for one day." "It's okay you'll get used to it." She stays and ask questions about the cameras then she leaves a little later.

Billy's POV

Mallory walks in the house and looks at me and sighs "I guess I'm with you today Bill." I smile and pat her on the shoulder I had talked to Aaron earlier today and I knew she was frustrated by all of this an Aaron had talked to her about why Zak had wanted her to do all of this but maybe she just needed to look at things a little differently. "Have a seat Mal." She nods then sits down "I know you are frustrated and Aaron and Zak both want you to know the equipment but Zak wants you to do this for another reason." She looks at me "To get fans to watch it and good ratings for the next season?" I shake my head "No I've known Zak for a while now he's doing this because he loves you no one has made him as happy as you do he wants to share this with you not just get viewers for the show." She looks up at me and I smile I know got through to her then she smiles too." "Teach me how to use the audio equipment I know Jay is supposed to teach me a few things too." I nod then show her all of our recorders, spirit boxes and everything we use for audio it took her awhile to get the hang of it but she eventually learns how to use our audio equipment and I can tell that she isn't as frustrated about having to do this as she was earlier.

Zak's POV

Today I had Mallory all to myself normally we would just spend time together and do pretty much anything but for now I was going to help her focus and find her way to prepare for the lockdown she walks in the living room I meet her eyes and she smiles and walks over to me then wraps her arms around my waist. I look down at her then wrap my arms around her I kiss her and she kisses back then runs her fingers through my hair I knew if I didn't focus the two of us wouldn't get anything accomplished but we haven't had the chance to have a lot of time together like this in a while we pull away and I look at her. "How about we cancel the focusing I'm sure you can use the break." I feel her hands go under my shirt and her fingers start going down my stomach "What did you have in mind?" I pull off my shirt and throw it on the couch and pick her up and start kissing down her neck she moans and pulls my hair and I bite down on her throat and she tilts her head back then pulls off her shirt. I kiss her and grab her hair and pull it she kisses back and bites down on my lip and I can't stop the growl that comes from my throat she wraps her legs around my waist and I walk into our bedroom.

Mallory's POV

I curl up next to Zak and lay my head on Zak's chest and let out a yawn I feel Zak's fingers start going up and down my side "I noticed you that day." I'm not really sure what he's talking about or what day he's talking about. I look at him "What day are you talking about Zakula?' He takes a deep breath "The day Kevin had us all over to discuss the stalker I noticed you that's why I talked to you I couldn't understand why you were surprised I was talking to you I also thought you had a boyfriend it's part of why I was so rude to you." I couldn't believe it Zak noticed me and now he explained why he was rude I was surprised he was talking to me because he was different then he was all anger and still in love with Ness I take a deep breath now it was my turn to tell Zak something about that day too. "I had a crush on you then I wasn't seeing anyone I was surprised you were there." He rolls over and looks at me then puts his hand on the side of my face "I'm sorry I was rude and I know that I don't show it or say it as much as I should but I really do love you sweetie." I smile "I love you too." He wraps his arms around me then I yawn and a few minutes later I'm asleep.
